Nothing much u can do except initiate a dispute and hope for the best. Non US paypal users are pretty unprotected when it comes to chargebacks.

I know what's your feeling because the same thing happen to me. Finally they auto deduct from my US bank account.

I lose about US$100++ (RM400++), nothing much can do.

I have faxed everything to Paypal (even my passport & utilities bill as proof of address), but after few days review, they decide to chargeback.

So, don't sell tangible product if you accept Paypal. Now, I only sell digital products (mainly software) using Paypal. So, chargeback not a big issue for me....

It means when you got a payment it will deduct $60 of it, if you leave the account they might black list you. There must be a reason why he chargeback you?

There are also cases where people buy paypal funds from untrusted sources so buy from someone who is well known first.

because i have sold out my fund... and receive cash from other ppl

what does chargeback means? i've used my mom's credit card recently to register for a paypal account & use it to pay for some item on ebay..will i face chargeback??? how to check?

lskong, sorry to hear your troubles.

basically the person in SGP who bought "online goods" from you is a scammer ler. he either stole other ppl's account/ credit card or he purposely buy from you and then deny it and ask for refunds via paypal. he know you are paypal newbie, so he abuse the paypal dispute system to cheat your money. because you are selling "virtual game items" he can accuse you of not delivering the virtual goods. you have to realise, paypal have many loopholes and unscrupulous ppl always take advantage of it to cheat money/goods.

i'm sorry this happen to you, it is best you prepare all documentations of the transaction/deal you have with this person and write to paypal to explain your situation.

erm, without any proofs, hard to even file a case. this is a really expensive lesson. but don't despair, growing up is about learning from previous mistakes, eh? and yeah, the world is full of scammers & fraudsters, be wary when doing online trading.

do you still have email/contact info of this person calling himself Mr. A. Antony? google and see whether he has other dirty tracks on the net.

check ur paypal transaction and u can see the email used by this person. see if that email can bring any leads.


since u r using paypal to buy stuff, chargeback will nvr happen to u. chargeback happens to a seller when a buyer dispute than the item not received and demand refund.
