bro if ur hsfs is mounted properly , then the tim no matter how much u put will be thin wan... neway prem i think that applies to dual cores procs only as most single core procs has the core smackdab in the middle , so different abit loh...

man the credit card way is a huge common misconcepttion.... if u use ur credit card u introduce trace amounts of imourities that will cause a decrease in performance... best if use the rice or string method as i posted earlier.... lots of guilow is refering to the days when the cores of cpu was very big... maybe the oldschool procs....

just go buy the set of tim and surface purifier from artic silver..rm25 can last u a life time.....how many time do you take ur proc out to clean..

umm...lol...to tell u the truth the Only performance tim that actually performs is as5, and ceramique. the rest is all cacat or oem rebranded wan... i wil be buying the chill factor very soon to test out with my newly aquired hr-01.

bro dusty got nuthin to do with the tim...coz once the hsf is on top its technically a sealed environment..but yeah people like me who like to dismantle pcs for fun coz of boredoma nd itchy fingers will use alot of tim and the remover...lol....

heeh i got an email from my Contact ( cant be revealed) that the tr tim is very very similar to as5 in technical terms althogh it is said to be different.... hjehe dun worry 35 rm , for tim is nuthin...hehe neway yeah give tr a chance lah... have some faith in tr..lol...

haha , i was just reading bout it in maximum pc mag... theres a tim that called liquid metal pro that out performes as5 by miles but cost 25 usd for only 4 applications and it very very messy and deangerouss.... if leak onto ur mobo...u know wat will happen lah...

bro those are most likely oem ceramique...neway the tims lik eliquid silver are still quite expensive and is very messy,as5 is still the best for everyday use..

yes... that is the best way, rice method is for single core, string method is for dual cores... neway yeah teh liquid metal thing is very good performance, but then under heat it will expand like crazy so u might get lots of leaks all round the socket....
