It has different model numbers for different variants respectively.

The one for Malaysia version (Duo) is SM-N9208
*
i was referring to the Duos model in Malaysia because there's more than 2 Duos models. SM-N920CD and SM-N9208 and one more I think.

but you answered my question nonetheless. Thinking of picking one up just for kicks.

Do it. Dual sim + dual whatsapp + decent 4 hrs SOT (for me at least) is amazing.

Not to mention, 4g is always on.

Cant get this figures on any other phones ive used. Again, im samsung biased laugh.gif
*
I'm getting 7 hours SOT on my nexus 6p bro.

5.5 hours on full LTE

I believe none of the M'sia variants in here already updated to Marshmallow.

Anyway, according to various videos and comments since the beta version been released last few months, they all said the ram management has been improved. Some even said it was fixed. icon_idea.gif
*
I was talking about the beta if any did flash it. Hmmm

Was any beta released for SM-N9208?
*
Probably not. Was hoping those with AP sets could show the way. sad.gif but still. I'm still on the fence about trading my Nexus 6P for the Note 5. The only thing I'm worried about is the freaking RAM management issue. 4GB of crap can't keep more than 5 apps in memory lol. Bugged the hell out of me when I got the S6 edge.

This guy's quick review of 6.0.1 on the SM-N920C seemed to indicate improved RAM management on his phone.

Tim's video was okay. Hope it's true too. Hahaha or else what's the point of getting a note lol. I rather stick to the 6p if that's the case haha

I thought you were interested in the LG V10? I feel is a better phone overall except it lacks SPen
*
So many choices to pick from haha. No one is willing to trade the v10 for the 6p sad.gif so I'm looking at the note 5 now. A lot of people offered me their note 5 for trade already haha. If I can get a V10 in a trade I'd be glad to!

I had thought of using the Mate8 to replace it but than V10 remains my top choice for mow
*
I'll probably use the V10 just for videography 😂😂 but who knows. Maybe I'll get lucky and someone wants to trade. biggrin.gif

I feel that if you change phone once a year, you lose a hell of a lot less money to change phone. If you wait 2 years, by the time you want to upgrade your phone it has already deprecated to a nearly worthless level imho.

Since note 5 almost perfect and did not bring much problem to me,then I might be skip note 6 and note 7..unless this two model got significant improvement in battery life then I will consider upgrade..for me, the weak spot of note 5 is battery life and other parts is near to perfect.next phone will still be samsung, dunno why I cannot masuk with other flagship smartphone(iphone 6s plus, nexus 6p, htc one m9, lg g4)..I have played with this two smartphone b4, iphone 6s plus and htc one m9 and still I prefer user interface of samsung.iphone interface is neat and tidy, but I cannot put note on the screen wallpaper.btw, it is individual preferences..if samsung can produce, fast charging phone with long lasting battery, then it will become heaven.  rclxms.gif
*
For me the only drawback i can see with the note 5 is the freaking RAM management issue! I want to get the note 5 but due to the issue I'm still holding back.

android phones don't last long like iphones.

don't think note 5 will upgrade to android 7/8/9...

iphone 4s can also use iOS 9.
*
Correction. Only androids on Samsung and the rest of the OEMs don't update crap. Look at the Nexus 5 this is its 3rd year and it's still supported with Android 6.0 that's 3 generations of Android revolution since it's KitKat launch. 4 generations officially or unofficially by CM. Sure the 4S has 4 generation upgrades to date. But Apple is the only one distributing iOS. Android has tons of mediums. It's just up to OEM willing to upgrade their software or not.

The RAM management issue still persist even after the latest update, unfortunately.

Truely, Samsung don't care bout software issues.

Sigh. I really want to get the Note 5. But this issue is seriously pissing me off. sad.gif I was using the Note 3 the entire day today, took it out of storage and decided to use it for a day. Sure it was laggy but I find the S Pen quite intuitive. Sigh.

had used for 3 months,it didnt laggy like s4 lastime,i had no issues with the ram management
but for heavy user, keep in mind that it only allow up to 4 or 5 apps to be minimise
but it seems like the marshmallow update had fix this issue
*
QUOTE(mffa @ Feb 23 2016, 09:22 PM)
I also have this ram management issues..but this does not affect note 5 performance at all..no lagging even once..just make sure u do not left too many apps in the background(more than 20apps)..so, no biggie for me..my advise to u is, please buy 1 asap..note 5 really shiok..the only drawback is battery life.btw, Im heavy user..always gaming non stop..bahaha
*
Which defeats the "multitasking" purpose no? Haha what else is the 4gigs of RAM for lol

I wonder if the screen is as good as note 5... But definitely like the fingerprint scanner no need press also can wake up the phone
*
Graphite and 64gb. That depends on how you look at the Note 5 haha. But doesn't pop as much as the Note 5 I think. I'm not sure haha. I love that about the 6P too.

Btw, anyone realise your note5 camera got cracking sound when you shake it forward and backward? The noise is less obvious if you shake it right n left. Is it normal? I never dropped my phone though.
*
If I'm not mistaken this phone has OIS, thus you may break the little springs holding the camera module if you shake it extremely hard. If you shake til you don't hear a sound anymore, it means you snapped the little springs in there.
