I have never had this keyboard issue, gave the stock keyboard a tried a few hours, no problem at all. But this is my second touchwiz android, i never use their stock keyboard. I dont use haptic feedback either as it is annoying for me.

I have been using google pinyin keyboard for years, it is on my 9208 as well, never have a problem, fast and snappy. It is the first thing i always download when booting into a new phone, and then Nova.

check if there is too much junk in your phone, like unused apps that is running in the back ground and have stored data and cache. or your social network apps that has stored alot of tiny thumbnail files from your picture ( wechat )

touchwiz will only lag after 1.5-2 year, when the hardware couldn't catch up with the newest software. well at least that is my experience so far.

if possible, disable everything that u dont need. Go to setting>application. Basic apps can be disable without using package disabler.
