I doubt signal problem is directly related to color of the phone
Why don't you guys just send in to service center for a full checkup if the problem still persists?

yup warranty will be voided once you root.
*
Just unroot it you can claim warranty. Easily done through supersu app at its settings option
Make sure in settings/ device status goes back to official
Afaik Samsung doesn't care about knox triggered
I had successfully claimed free warranty with knox triggered for Note3 ( usb port repair) n change motherboard of S6E

Don't believe this geezer.

Coming from him, everything is good and no problem when it comes to Samseng.

My worker rooted her phone, tripped Knox and was denied warranty.
This is at low yat service center.
*
It is up to you to believe me or not. You must FIRST FULLY UNROOT the phone to get it back to device status as official
Both my phones were serviced at Lowyat center. The S6E was sent to Lowyat through BP collection center
And I am NOT the only user who could claim successfully with Knox triggered
And my dear "Kuli" - how can my phones has no problem when I need to send in for warranty claims ??
My son S3 ( gift from me) was sent in to replace motherboard in its 10th month
And I had been a Android user since the first Nexus One and I dare say I do know how to handle my phones and know what not to install . I am unlike many users who install hell lots of apps without understanding them . And finally I DON"T install any single pirated app
Please DON"T simply criticized me because you "don't like me" or I had the luxury/capability to buy a wide variety of phones to test ??

Anyone using Package Disabler Pro? Any difference in your battery performance?
*
I use this app on my ex Note 5 n S6E. Main reason is just to disable most of the stuffs I don't need to use
I suppose it would help to increase battery life slightly only as many background apps are disabled
Try yourself to assess. Enabling those disabled app back is easy - just a tap to enable back
And is safe to disable any of the app if it is shown
Some will disable some system function too eg power manager , you wont be able to see anymore power usage ( to some not critical) ...try yourself to discover further

My ex Note 5 is from Spore ( single sim) and I do not face any network problems at all. I am using Celcom postpaid and has been excellent
It is indeed strange that it is said one need to put in a local simcard before the phone can be used in another country. I had immediately put in my Celcom simcard at the shop and it works straightaway and no need to put in first any Spore simcard ??

Wah. My data freeze even more often today.

Just now stuck at edge. Cannot load page whatsoever. Restart phone, got back 4g, but same also. Cannot load pages and whatsapp msgs not sent.
*
Why don't you send in phone to check the sim module?
Before that try change the simcard first at telco

Those facing drop calls on their phone should seriously sent their phones in to service center
It is not any phone characteristic to behave like that

Very true...there is always a better phone next few months
Serious Note users should wait out for Note6 apparently launching this July

Mate 8 battery life really great..I think want to suggest to my father..just watching youtube and read review..battery life can easily last 10 hours sot..feel like more worth it if my father buy mate 8 compared to note 5 at celcom..because postpaid plan got unlimited sms and calls..if note 5 the best I can get is 8 hours sot with pdp..damn.really cant fight with mate 8 stamina..but one thing is note 5 is sharper and maybe a bit faster..mate 8 ok ke bro?..scared later got problem..heard update is so slow..later my father rage..
*
Except for Spen overall the Mate8 is a way much better phone than Note5
It is very much smoother, faster . Yes by default one can easily get 10 hours SOT on stock without added tweaks. It runs cool even after continous 2-3 hours usage. Its LTE lockup is way much superior vs Note5 n HW is renown for that.
Camera is snappy n shots quality comparable to Note5, Nexus 6p but loses out to more superior LG V10 n S7E
My ex Note5 I had to root n tweak to get 6-7 hours SOT. Even S7e on stock is much better than it. I expect great performance n results from Note6 looking at the S7e
Msian sets got their first firmware update within 2 weeks - faster ever in history. Its firmware by default is very stable

ok one curious question,

what will happen u disable unused apps ? will it affect the note 5 ?

my eyes so itchy seeing all the unused apps so i go to app manager and i disable it.
*
It shouldn't affect the phone unless you chose system app which you are not able to do it
However those using package disabler pro need to learn how to use it intelligently as many options on system stuffs are allowed to be disabled.

One cannot compare exactly SOT with another user as he uses the phone differently with different set of app. One can only take other user SOT as a guide only
My ex Note5 was rooted, installed with xposed cum some battery mods n the best I could hit was 6-7 hours SOT. My usage ( 80% lte) mainly on internet stuffs ( mail, browsing, tweeter, facebook, youtube, newsfeed etc) with no gaming
Similar usage pattern my other phones, SOT records are:
LG V10 : 4-5 , Nexus 6P 5-6, S7E 7-8, Mate 8 10+, S6E 4+

Best battery life phone I had ever used is now Mate 8 : easily 10 hours SOT and is double that of most other high end Androids
A superb phone - very smooth and doesn't lag. It had very strong LTE lockup and no nonsensical stuffs as sudden poor network connectivity, drop calls like some other phones
Those looking for long battery life can consider this to replace Note 5. Note 5 only advantage I would say over it is merely the SPen only
Some might say it had only a 1080p display but seriously side by side comparison with my other S7 edge, V10, Nexus 6P I don't see any significant differences unless one had microscopic vision

I reviewed the mate 8 and compared based on specs, its not an upgrade from the note 5. Quite similar, only thing is battery power and 64gb rom (and mmc capabilities)

I cannot comment on the screen as i have not actually tried 1, but most ppl wont be able to tell abt the screen clarity, color accuracy etc without putting both phones side by side.
*
I wonder how you compare specs - just based on paper ??

Chipset wise : mate 8 is much more powerful and just looking at its Antutu benchmark alone is more than 50% higher than Note5. In daily use Mate 8 is obviously very much faster and smoother than Note 5
Operating temperature : Mate 8 is very much cooler. One hardly feel warm even with intensive usage continously over 2-3 hours
Battery life : Mate 8 easily 10 hours SOT vs 5-6 hours most Note 5 users are getting
GSM/LTE lockup : mate 8 is top and doesn't faced issues such as calls drop off and LTE connectivity issues a common problem among Note 5 users
Display : mate 8 though only is 1080p, seriously I cannot see any significant difference with S7E, LG v10, Nexus 6P with higher resolution. Unless one has microscopic eyes only geeks will look for pixel differences. Anyway those who love SAmoled might not like the LCD display. Personally I just do not like Amoled as I find the colors being overly bright and colors too saturated. This I suggest you see it yourself to judge
Camera shots quality : can easily match Note 5 but loses out to the more superior LG V10, S7E

Note5 main advantage I would say is its SPen only
The Mate 5 is definitely positively a big upgrade over the Note 5
Sorry if I offend any Note 5 lovers/ users here - just speaking out based on my experiences having used both these phones

If you are happy with Note 5, why even bother to consider to change ? Change only if you wish a overall much better phone and you have a budget for it

Can I have some feedback from Celcom users here, how is the service when using on Note5? Got data freeze issue? Do you get 4G+ or just 4G?

Im thinking to change from Digi to Celcom to test out their network.

Why dont you test out with a prepaid first?
