Institutional funds are usually not allowed to trade ACE  Market. There is also hardly any research analyst coverage for Ace. So it's more cowboy market of retail. Investors in ACE Market.

There you go. It only links direct CDS. Shares in nominee account are under the bank's name not yours but you have legal claim on those shares.

The commentary says what does "RSI is also showing an overbought condition which indicates some retracement may take place...."
By retracement, do they mean the price may go down ..which I don't get as being overbought, shouldnt price go up?

Can some sifus enlighten me plz,

Are u looking at cash upfront or collateralized trading account?
That's not too bad. CGS Cimb charges the same for cash upfront online trading.
CIMB charges RM8.48 minimum i tot..haha but percentage is the same if im not wrong
djhenry91 can clarify?

QUOTE(Cubalagi @ Nov 13 2019, 12:53 PM)
I noticed quite a number of brokers are charging 0.1% for cash upfront online trading account. The diffrenciator for cash upfront online will then be minimum brokerage.
*
yeah most brokers charge 0.1%....since the poster was talking about RM12 for MBB,i guess he is referriing to minimum brokerage..

Going into recession avoid stocks lar..but if must hold then it's cash cow consumer staples like Nestlé (people still drink nescafe n milo) n Dutchlady. Both were quite stable in 2009, maybe even sin consumer staple stocks like BAT,l or Carlsberg coz ppl still smoke n drink. At bottom of recession, then buy the other strong blue chips.

Of course, this is easier said then done.
*
those cows r expensive =D..
is tenaga considered cashcow?since ppl prolly still use electricity

BAT bukan not doing so well already?

Tenaga is cash cow but it's a higher beta/more volatile than KLCI. So in my opinion it's not a "safe stock" to hold going into a recession. But it is a good stock to pick up if u think market has bottom in a recession.

Yes BAT has been pretty bad for the last few years due to competition from vape, smuggling, govt regulations. Sales n earnings have dropped a lot.
*
Can you elaborate on "Tenaga is cash cow but it's a higher beta/more volatile than KLCI."?

Hrmm could these be signs that BAT is slowly unbecoming a cash cow?

The free one that I know is in the Bursa Mktplc website. They have analyst reports by stocks. For a particular stock, look up for an analysis report called alpha indicator. It is in the last part of the report in the risk chapter. There u can find a beta analysis.
*
ooh thanks

QUOTE(Yggdrasil @ Dec 10 2019, 07:07 PM)
You can also calculate it yourself for accuracy reasons.

Some websites do provide beta in the form of:
1) 3 month
2) 6 month
3) 12 months
*
oh noted.thanks

The stock didn't "crash" . The "crash" is not a real crash but a price adjustment made after the big special dividend.

I've no view on AirAsia. There is a saying about investing in airlines and becoming a millionaire .. 😅

If you want to be a millionaire, start with a billion dollars and invest in an airline. I think it's attributed to Richard Branson.
*
lol from billion to million...so that kinda means airline business is not that profitable?but its weird, seeing how many ppl go for overseas trips all d time
