Can anyone explain in details the difference between Genting berhad and Genting malaysia berhad?

If Genting owns 49% of GenM (correct me if I'm wrong), when GenM makes a profit (or loss) it will affect Genting too right?

Hello, I know everyone’s busy celebrating on their wins on gloves, congratulations if you’re one of them. Just wondering is anyone holding Serbadk? Want to hear your thoughts!

Anyone holding Serba Dinamik? Looks good to me to hold long term.

Serbadk holder here. Have been collecting for several months but I'm very surprised with the current downtrend despite the good fundamentals. Any idea what's going on?

SERBADK's eps and nta shed half, YoY. u got to wait for next qr for better story, or sorry if con't declining.
*
To the best of my knowledge, the EPS & NTA shed half as there was a share split back in Nov 2019. Otherwise the revenue is still increasing YoY.

fundamental analysis is not really useful in making money. just make u feel good

Hey just genuinely curious. Why would you think so?
Is there something fundamentally wrong with FA in Malaysian stocks?

I understand that glove stocks are the heated topics here, but is anyone a long term shareholder of Serbadk? Would love to know your point of view on the Private Placement announced lately.

accumulating for months now, will continue to hold as i strongly believe it is much undervalued even at rm2

gearing is high, understandable they need to do PP again as they increase their orderbook every year

but if u go i3 & klse screener comments u can see how toxic & ignorant retailers' comments are  laugh.gif
*
Yup those comments in i3 can be truly ignorant and annoying. I've also been accumulating and holding for many months, but it moves slower than most recovery stocks, hence making me doubt my decision.

Which REIT is good in the current situation? Are they still giving out dividends as fat as pre-covid days?

Recovery stocks' rise seem unstoppable now, while Gloves are really testing its shareholders' patience to the limit. I'm still holding H & T since last yr, lol.

If gloves meteoric rise in 2020 was due to shortage, semicon tech stocks shud see the same trajectory this year. I think ultra high PE is the new normal for Mr. Market's latest darling stocks. If H can reach PE 100 last year, no reason tech stocks cant reach that level too. Considering entering some tech, haha.

I think local funds selling is mainly due to EPF, coz that iSinar & whatnot. Local retail net buying due to low interest rate, too low return frm bank I guess.

Which recovery stocks exactly is unstoppable?

Yes, that is what I have been doing all this while.

We can even check the total loss and profit for a specific time frame.  thumbsup.gif

I think Rakuten is kinda inaccurate when you sell and buy the same stock again in the same day. They will give a false average acquisition price.

What's going on with GenM today? Is it because of the extended MCO?

You are welcome bro. This chart might help you to make the correct decision.

If we lose            / Gains required to break even

10%                        11.11%
20%                        25.00%
30%                        42.86%
40%                        66.67%
50%                        100.00%
75%                        300.00%
90%                        900.00%

I used different methods to minimise my losses. Either average down by doubling down, cut loss at 10% or more, buy another stock that gained money, etc.

A painful lesson that I learned a few years ago is to let the losses run to 30% to 40%. This is now a big no no for me.

I wish you the best.

Thanks for the table!

The weekend is coming people. Let’s lighten up and listen to a joke.  rclxm9.gif

Do you know the secret to picking winning stocks in Bursa? I am finally going to reveal the secret to you. Look at the name of the stocks. The name must be sexy and it must end with the alphabet “x”.

Let me give you some examples. XOX and DNEX.

See how DNEX flew +40% yesterday? It is up 208% in one year!

Or look at Supermax. See how it went up +664.30% in one year?

Now, let’s see how we can avoid picking losing stocks. Simple. Don’t pick a stock with a Melayu or Chinese sounding name. You don’t believe me? Let me give you some examples.

Genting down -20.2% in one year.
Tenaga down – 22.9% in one year.
Hap Seng down -18.4% in one year.
Petronas down -13.1% in one year.

Why is this the case? This is because the ang moh foreign investors cannot understand the names. Genting? Hap Seng? Apa tu?

See how easy stock picking is?

Have a good weekend everyone!  laugh.gif

i am amazed by MRDIY share price.. at this rate, they will become KLSE component stock in the next review..

It's actually surprising. Back then during the IPO all gurus were like "don't touch MR DIY, it's already passed its growth phase yada yada" and here it is standing strong at 80+ PE.
