Warren Buffett is telling investors don’t time the market. Often, he says, market predictions distract people from making good stock purchases.

QUOTE(billy_overheat @ Jul 8 2021, 01:17 PM) Sometimes things are taken out of the full context. His stand is to identify the best company which has growth forever. Hence, the need to filter out and select the best possible companies. So, are there companies which can be compared to those mega conglomerates in, let say, the US? how is it out of context when it's clearly mentioned good company and don't time the market? We do see some good companies around with good growth and what's the future prospect of such companies? In such difficult time, while others are recovering and we go back to square one. Yeah, I mean, things are not that bad, but not that good too to say, hold stocks forever with the assumption that they will grow, forever? the it's the reader's job to know what is good, isn't it? on the part don't time the market it's pretty self explanatory. but in the event you cannot find even one good company in a thousand stocks, then it's best to stay away from the market, yes? |

QUOTE(foofoosasa @ Jul 9 2021, 08:21 AM) CPO is close to 4k for quite a while but most of the blue chips plantation and second liner unable to move. Very bad symptoms of this country honestly. If u calc Whole Plantation's latest PE and compared it with it's Last 4Q, you will notice latest PE about 9.7% higher, indicating plantation growth is -9.7%, negative growth sectors should be avoided. Such info is already available publicly average 43 days ago.I am from industry, still clueless why plantation counter is going downward instead of upward. The only possible explanation is big institutional is disposing. and that's how to read the chart to the right side, not to the left. I don't have to be in the industry to know this, don't try to interpret what is not there. high CPO price does not translate to high earning because this is stock and you are not trading the futures, hope i've solved your mystery that has been bugging u. |

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « DKSH climatic vol, ard 430pm buy rate buy above 50%, with reasonably low risk, the upside reward and potential, conservative entry trigger would be a close above 2.96 imho, so watch out. |

KOSSAN's display of bear trap at the double bottom has further affirmed the bullishness of glove counters, especially it's leader COMFORT.

sharing my little observation from crunching numbers...
the golden opportunity of plantation and oil&gas producers were jeopardized by gov lockdown as: 1. labour intensive plantation affected badly despite rising FCPO due to lockdown, no volume to reap the better margin. 2. same for wasted petrol station sales opportunity when vol drop as way less people travel despite rising crude oil, can only watch high margin without high volume. hence i retreat the bullishness of petronm mentioned before. had the gov not artificially regulate the supply and demand, they could have happily share the profit by collect tax from these companies, but instead they underhandedly fine the people to collect saman. |
