QUOTE(icemanfx @ Sep 16 2021, 09:36 PM) If evergrande is in other countries, its debts default could lead to financial crisis similar to 2008 level. however, china politic, ccp, plc and economy is a lot more intertwined than other countries, and pboc have time to prepare; fallout is likely less extensive and evergrande won't survive at current form; shareholders, bondholders and vendors will likely take the blunt of impact. Thus many expect CCP or papa xi to bail out Evergrande's crisis...but let's see if they will do that.it is a known fact, housing stock in many china cities is more than number of household. after evergrange crisis, house price in these cities will likely remain stagnant for many years. |

QUOTE(statikinetic @ Sep 17 2021, 07:25 PM) I got a small position in Inari so I'll be happy to see Tech going. Heh I was just thinking about going in small into Inari. But let's see if there's a tech correction in the coming days for me to enter. This weekend is going to be iced tea and the glove reports. Interesting turn of events with the big drop in the QR. Unfortunately, it will be the retailers that will bear the brunt of the hit. Someone was mentioning RSS was going to be suspended again, is that true? I was eyeing D&O for a long time.. I expect it to go easily up to 6. Didn't replenish my cash fast enough to get into it and it went up =( me sadding. This post has been edited by Duckies: Sep 17 2021, 07:34 PM |

QUOTE(infested_ysy @ Sep 21 2021, 12:54 PM) I'm no antivax either, but I can't help but feel like something isn't right. Hartalega and Kossan I guess. These days whenever I see recent videos of US or UK, it's like nobody wears a mask anymore. I've seen recent clips of people in UK attending a football match, the whole stadium was crowded and almost nobody wore a mask. I have a friend who's in the UK now too, who mentioned you'll be given weird stares if you wear a mask. Almost none of the locals wear it. Also the recent MET gala event where none of the rich elites wore a mask but all the reporters and waiters/service people in the event had to wear a mask, and the Oscars where none of the superstars wore a mask during the indoor event. Don't give me the bullshit that these rich elites don't have to wear a mask because they all took 2 shots of vaccines, then why the non rich elites in the event can't do the same? It's clearly a rich elite vs working class thing. The hypocrisy is unreal. I don't even know who or what to believe anymore. WHO isn't 100% trustworthy since they're in bed with China (yes WHO, we 100% believe you that China is completely innocent, and the cobis virus totally originated from America) What are the "H and K" counters you mentioned anyway? Btw, D&O hit 6 bucks already. Anyone holding that? |

Scientex QR is out. Not bad. Packaging revenue and profit was affected but their property department is doing better.

Either one will b good. I think Taikor.Taikun explains it all. But time will tell if we are right. At the moment still holding tight on this ship ![]() ![]() Mah Sing joined the glove bandwagon late when the party was coming to an end. ![]() How do u see? |

QUOTE(Boon3 @ Sep 30 2021, 11:59 AM) LOL. Ah I see. Got your meaning. In that case will need to see which path/direction the company goes in the future. If it goes fully into a property company then I might just exit.I am talking about the company and not the stock. Have no idea about the stock. When you have a company with such a business mix, same exactly like Mah Sing many, many years ago.. you just gotta ask yourself.. what if. Plastics/packaging etc... your profits can only grow so far... Property.. It can really get exciting, no? As it is, you can see property is the bigger money contributorto the group..... If and when the company is pressed for the earnings growth, which direction will it go? My bet it will go the property way... Money is much bigger.. more growth potential... Hence, the question in a nutshell in the near future... You betting on a packaging company or a property company? |

QUOTE(icemanfx @ Oct 3 2021, 10:37 AM) No issue or hard feeling, hope your loss is affordable and not significant. as i don't and couldn't share any buy tips here but happy to contribute my 2 cents worth of opinion on unsustainable price (e.g poorperly, stock). unsustainable high price (e.g tsla, btc) sometime could last longer than expected, it is prudent to take a portion of profit first and leave affordable (to loss) amount to ride the trend. Any industry we should be looking into for good investment?good luck to your investment. |

QUOTE(ChAOoz @ Oct 16 2021, 11:43 AM) Lately less active, I have joined the dark side and is now in cash preservation mode. So no more bullish thesis or prediction for the time being. I do have a watch list of things i want to buy tho, super tempted to trade How's your plastic? Still holding on? Seems losing traction lately but long term should be fine.Overall market has been good to me this week. Apart from China tech my main holdings all pretty much hit new highs or recover close to previous highs. Portfolio still a bit shy of ATH due to China weightage but very close now. |
