Malaysia is just a small nation. When big power crash, the world will follow suit. But when the big power surge, Malaysia will not surge as much.

When the bond bubble burst, money from the bond market will flow into US stock market, just 1% of the money form bond market is enough to cause it to surge and change the current deflation period into inflation period. US dollar will strengthen from current weakening state when demand is huge. But all these are temporary as whatever happened to Japan is going to happen to US. It's an inevitable cycle.

For the next few months, investors in US stock market will be happy as volatility is huge in a super bull market. But what happen next is when US crash, KLCI will follow suit and we shall see something worst than 1998, 2001 and 2008 and it will take years to recover the previous high. The US bull is already 11 years old.

Eg, u have 1000 units, so u should get 1000/45 = 22 units of share.

So how u gonna sell ur 22 units? Normal buy sell trade is minimum 1 lot which is 100 units.

If u hold 4500 units, u will get 100 units aka 1 lot. So it's much easier to sell.

lol, TG no share buy back but LWC's associate company Tropicana  is buying the shares. I wont be surprised if it buys more, since it had 400m cash. Just wondering what Tropicana's shareholders would think~

Just a reminder that tmr will be the last day to trade in order to get the dividend. Since the dividend will be 1 share for every 45 shares u hold, it is recommended to hold the units that is multiple of 4500. This is to prevent odd lots dividend, meaning u get number of shares which is smaller than 1 lot quantity. Odd lots is very troublesome to sell.

Multiple of 4500 is 4500, 9000 and so on.

Dividend from treasury share is non cash; cash from p&l is kept for other purpose. believe topg dividend will be similar.

1.3 bil is gonna be set aside for xmas dividend
1.2 bil went into share buyback...
2 bil plus went into money market fun
300 mil plus went into capex...

and that's it... finish...

therefor ... it wasn't surprising that TG wasn't buying back shares....

which explains the Tropican buying of TG shares.... ( tropicana really got into big shit for that)

Or perhaps he was badly advised... like putting money into dunno what money market fund... simply buying back shares ???? I really would like to know who is advising him on the money matters.
