I sofld Comfort and Kossan this morning for a small profit of +RM1000 plus.

My eyes bulged when I saw my portfolio for Supermax and TopGlove. The unrealized profit is now enough to buy a small car after 2 days of trading. This is madness.

To take profit or to continue to monitor until tomorrow? Decision...decision...

Yup, the stock market is doing all right - on a bull run.

This is because I am seeing a lot of new forumers here for the first time who are coming out from the shadows. 

One day the party will end for sure but for the time being, let’s just enjoy the ride.

Thank you for the comprehensive advice, i can see this to be applicable for me as im about 1 year into the stock market and are still in -15% region thanks to covid, but nonetheless i believe my portfolio bluechips should rebound after covid.

Just to ask, can i know why would you prefer the 5 companies that you have mentioned here? (I know i can just google their historicals but maybe you can provide a layman description since you probably invested in them previously)

Great to hear about yours. Mine is mostly on Maybank and YTLREIT (both for dividend purpose). Did you Dollar cost average along the way?

I have 4 currently - Maybank, PBB, CIMB and RHB. One in Careplus.

All 4 bank stocks "caught" the rise last week, when the price was still low to enter (7.50, 14.86, 3.65 & 4.74 respectively). Now waiting for RHB's dividend ex-date next week and see where it goes, before deciding whether to sell. For PBB, most likely hold long term, while Maybank and CIMB is still 50/50.

As for Careplus, entered at 1.50, and expect to hit 2+ next week, then sell.

Now thinking of going to Hibiscus and DRB-Hicom, before settling with a good dividend stock. Any suggestions?

not agree with "Good company at crazy valuation is bad investment. Shit company with extremely low valuation can sometimes be a wonderful investment".

my principle is "become partner of a good company at fair price is better than become partner of an average company at cheap price". Anyway, that is my point of view.

yes knowledge is power. But there is the another YOU in you that you need to be able to control well is equally important.

I hope the people in this forum will one day wake up and realize that trying to time the market is the exact same thing as gamble.
