What are you talking about? When was the last time you monitor Astro? Astro going great lately...QR also very nice looking. I also didn't know Astro going great until my sister who worked there said they are having good sales during mco.
*
I was referring to the period it fell from KLCI along with Ambank. Look at the 5Y price history of astro.

If you see future in the company, by all means go for it, dont let your personal analysis and decision get affected by what ppl say on the internet.

Not what kind of qr but what kind of counter.

If many retailers expect good qr, this counter is good to pump before qr. If wanted to catch chase high retailers, pump after poor qr.

Bursa is a croc pond.
*
How can all these happen unless there's insider trading a.k.a knowing the QR's result before it's officially released to the public.

What kind of qr can one expect? hmm.gif everyone has different opinions but what I can say is to understand the quarter reports of a company. That will give you a rough idea what to expect for the upcoming one
*
Gotta admit, Serbadk's idle price movement after the QR didn't really surprise me. Nothing will move the giant serbadisappointamic.

But if bad QR makes a stock goes higher, then how do you explain FPGroup's downfall after the recent QR that's not up to investors' expectation.

This proves that different stocks have different types of investors.

Some companies have shareholders that buy on rumours, sell on news. They got wind a good QR is coming, buy first then sell after QR, like gloves.

Some companies have strong shareholders thinking of longer term. I remember clearly how Vitrox got several lacklustred QRs, but share price went up.

On Serba, I believe fundmanagers aren't touching it due to its huge debts.
*
Good point. It depends on the type of investors of that particular counter it seems.

Do you think Serbadk’s debts are justified for its growth?

funds dont push every stock they see

once you are in the market long enough you will see some stocks idle certain years and surge certain years

How many years would be considered long enough?

*
I’m still holding KGB too, having faith in their future. Maybe my price point is a little too high after trusting kenanga’s 3.1 forecast. What’s your average acquisition price for KGB?

Walao, you trade based on the tips given by the forumers here... smile.gif

Bahaya wor. Vanguard will lead you to Holland.

For trading buy ideas, have a look at Armada and DPIH.

As usual, I am not responsible for the gains and losses of the forumers here. Please do your own research.
I spent too much time trading and in this forum..... biggrin.gif

Some forumers must harbour doubts whether I am working at all!

I have a respectable war chest for trading. No offence but I would rather not disclose the amount.

Some forumers don't like it when we reveal our working capital and the actual gain and losses in monetary terms.

So, I need to respect the view of everyone here.  smile.gif

Wow it seems like you no longer need to work for basic expenses, a.k.a Lean FI/RE achieved!

Keep inspiring the rest of us here

Me not guru. But I can give suggestions for you, as a fellow retail investor.

1. How long do you think you can hold? Some people can hold long term, like years without being triggered by share price to buy or sell. My aunt held Parkson from RM4 until now. She also held DutchLady from RM10+ until now. Real diamond hands. Some prefer short-term trading like most of us here. If you don't urgently need the money, you can hold for years without cut loss until it hopefully recovers. eg. KESM few years ago RM15 now almost recover.

2. Can you switch to other stocks that you are very, very confident will give you a higher return? eg if think other stocks can give you 40% but your current stocks only may give 20%, then consider cut loss & switch.

3. Diversification. Holding 4 stocks from same sector is a double-edged sword. Perhaps reduce your exposure to gloves? But finding the perfect price to sell is hard.

Which will you regret more?

If gloves up 10% nxt week, will you regret selling now?
Or gloves down 10%, will you regret more for not cutting loss?

It really depends on your preference & risk tolerance.

Great points there.
Your aunty either doesn’t really care much about her stocks anyway or is the true exemplary version of a value investor!

Missed out buying Ambank today.

Or more accurately, my bola kecut already because I was monitoring the glove stocks.

I think AmBank rebounded about +6% from its lowest price today.

Moving forward, I think Genting is worth a punt as a recovery stock.

But I need to clear all my glove stocks first. If tomorrow it can continue to be green, then it is FREEDOM aka Braveheart style.  rclxm9.gif

Would’ve been a great catch if you managed to get ambank at the market’s opening! Ppl assumed it’d limit down the whole day. But not to forget the huge settlement is a one-off thing!

i generally enjoy the tone of conversations here along with the occasional debates. not forgetting, the english used here. so eloquent!
pick up a few techniques here and there.
keep it going y'all! this thread has become my favourite lunch break read.
i did not buy gloves' stocks, however reading the posts, i feel like i bought glove stocks too. so gancheong
*
Yep started to enjoy reading here too, so much better than the forum posts in i3, if there’s even a need for comparison. One thing I really like is that we’re all honest, average investors sharing our journey filled with success, losses & personal fears, as opposed to those hyped-up gurus trying to sell programs. It’s very down to earth. We get to see the real picture of the everyday person trading/investing.

The only downside is the difficulty in navigation. There are a lot posts and sometimes it can be a headache jumping from one page to another since the posts/page is quite limited.

I like to tikam tongue.gif i always guess correct (+-10%) when my other half ask me how much is those clothes.

Tbh your guess is way to modest for a seasoned player in bursa.

Since uncle Van insisted let’s stop speculating on that!

Thank you. But KYY is famous or infamous for the wrong reasons. 😃
Thanks for the suggested titles. Food for thought.

I heard bloggers can even earn passive income from advertisements in their blogs! 😃
*
Please be the uncorrupted one 🙌 I think genuinely sharing your experiences and opinions will surely attract a lot of audience without the infamy.

And ya great passive income either from affiliate marketing or Adsense, but affiliate can make you biased in some cases.

I just entered KGB at RM2.180 just now for trading rebound. It is now down -10%. But no MOS. TA and FA also not very good. Enter at your risk.  smile.gif

Wait for the dip for the following stocks. But they may never dip again!  smile.gif

1.  MMC
2.  Genting
3.  Asiapac
I still have a lot of glove stocks. All blood red.  What I will do depends on my mindset:

1. Vanguard the Trader - Cut loss because it has reached -10% already
2. Vanguard the Investor - TA is bad but FA is very attractive. To hold and monitor for a few more days.
3. Vanguard the fish market seller -  The sky is falling! Sell all and curse the KLSE! Cheating money wan! All con job and sharks here. Ptui! Ptui!

I choose to hold the glove stocks for now.  No sweat. Red is an ONG colour. biggrin.gif
*
Hi uncle, I’m stuck at a higher floor of 2.33 for KGB! I believe in its FA too but today’s particularly stressful!

Anyone burned their hands today on kgb too?
