a 2 for 1 means, you get 2 new shares for every share held. Total shares held become 3.
a 1 for 1 means, you get 1 new share for every share held. Total shares held become 2.

5. APPROVALS REQUIRED
The Proposed Bonus Issue of Shares is subject to the following approvals:-
(i) Bursa Securities, for the listing and quotation for the Bonus Shares on the Main Market of Bursa Securities;
(ii) The shareholders of Supermax for the Proposed Bonus Issue of Shares at an extraordinary general meeting ("EGM") to be convened; and
(iii) Any other relevant authority, if required.
The Proposed Bonus Issue of Shares is not conditional upon any other proposal undertaken or to be undertaken by the Company.

8. ESTIMATED TIMEFRAME FOR COMPLETION
Barring any unforeseen circumstances and subject to all required approvals being obtained, the Proposed Bonus Issue of Shares is expected to be completed by end of fourth quarter of 2020.

9. APPLICATION TO THE AUTHORITIES
The application to the relevant authorities shall be made within 2 months from the date of this announcement.
