Because Malaysian semiconductor companies focus more on ATE and EMS which put us in the lower end of the value chain. These companies provide business and are contract manufacturers to bigger players in Taiwan, China and US. It is growing at an expected pace as demand in chips increases (higher demand in electronic devices). TSM they make their own chips and they’re at the highest level of value chain. 7nm/5nm. AMD is big on marketing and is close to securing a duopoly in the graphics card industry and as Intel loses its competitive edge. (And now they’re trying to outsource and like AMD their chips to be manufactured by partner foundry) TSM biggest in manufacturing AMD biggest in marketing. Malaysian semiconductor companies sure are not capable of such growth opportunities.
This is my educated guess. Quit being condescending and cherrypick words from my sentence as a form of argument. Do I have to word every sentence like I’m writing a peer-reviewed article.
exactly why i laughed bro.. VALUE CHAIN as brother Chaooz mentioned above.. we are not even competing with them.. most of the companies are doing well BECAUSE of them..nothing to do with AMD's (AMD shareholder here) marketing or duoply etc.. i am not condescending and cherrypicking.. i am just questioning your understanding.. This is my educated guess. Quit being condescending and cherrypick words from my sentence as a form of argument. Do I have to word every sentence like I’m writing a peer-reviewed article.
Malaysian listed semi companies are not even in the business of AMD, TSM as u mentioned.. we cant expect Frontken to beat TSM/AMD because those are their clients..
Yes my NIO is allright thanks for asking.. only small amount though, scared to enter near ATHs.. not to fomo as already made some pocket money selling Puts on them ..
