Nestle is developing a plant-based/meatless food products and spent hundreds of millions on investments in Malaysia. Try looking into it. It is virtually impossible to make money from Maybank unless you have an investment horizon of more than 5 years.
Important financial ratios for financial services companies would be ROE/Price-to-book/net interest margins. The rest I cannot think of at the moment.

Nestle is a little tricky to value. It is mostly controlled by Nestle S.A.. Important financial ratios would be PE/profit margins/FCF/ebitda. Also, if you are a Bursa veteran, you usually won't buy any stock heavily controlled by EPF or KWSP? No hate against these institutional buyers but they tend to not let retailers make money from their portfolio. They have an entire country of retirees to feed so..

the good thing is EVs will most likely rule the roads in the future, another 10 or 20 years then autonomous cars will take over
hahaha, didn't really do anything, wasn't really convinced that G has that much of potential too but boy I was wrong  laugh.gif

the limited demography of bursa makes tech counters much more premium than the counterparts in other markets, if one uses PE as the yardstick, misses out a lot eh.

sidenote,

UWC macam slowly climb out d, who bought a lot of UWC last time yeah? their business is quite interesting, medical and lifescience help them a lot
*
UWC? Thanks to the introduction from ChAOoz, it was a really good stock for me last year.

And yeah, we had a recent discussion on this thread on UWZ. After its last reported quarterlies, the stock appeared to me to be at an inflection point...
Didn't like the setup I was seeing at all back then then...
and yeah... was watching it built up strength since then...

now with other tech stocks such us MPI and Unisem reporting great set of numbers...
yeah, logically this one would gather speculation interest of a good set of earnings.

G? Things like that I would never ever bet on...
history of being a money losing machine... and all out of a sudden churn out millions and millions in profit... nah.... I shall give it a pass la.

I just went in 10 lots 9.61..already prepare to average down if needed . Ermm Malaysia shares must monitor also if there are big events like election so cannot say just put there 3 years .. the reason I buy is because economy would definitely need to open up and tenaga would likely announce dividend in end of August..

I'm sorry, been following today's exchange of posts and know it may be none of my business, but do you think learning a little more about the company and strategies involved in investing would be a good idea before committing cash?

If you just want to invest spare cash without bothering about companies' profits and prospects, then Banking stocks is good if you can hold for many years. Malaysian banks' share price had rose higher from past 2 great crises
