In general, people would be buying shares at 1.53 which is a significant discount to the current market price. This is what the company thinks they can sell the private placement at. Or another way of saying it is, if they put the private placement price too high, maybe they couldn't find people to buy the shares.

What I've observed so far.
If price has gone up in the past and PP price is just below current price it stabilizes the share price. So share price is likely not to drop below the PP price.

In this case PP would be at 1.53 and share price at start of day was 1.91. Since the difference to the current price is large, price would logically start to drop.

Still 20% away from precovid, can try.

BIMB is a better pick in terms of fundamentals (but this is only 10% away from precovid)

PP is at maximum 10% off from vwap of 5 days

1.53 is just illustrative price of vwap at 1.69

My BIMB is not as good as yours, but also inching up too.

Erm still have 20-30% upside for CIMB to precovid, I still have it in my portfolio.

For BIMB, still have  about 10% upside to precovid, I also still have it in my portfolio.
I also have some takaful as well because takaful and bimb are like mother and son

But I think BIMB fundamental is stronger la, but maybe the new CEO can turn things around. Also, CIMB next Q profit should be good because they have set aside A WHOLE DAMN LOT of provision for the last 2 consecutive quarters

Yes you’re right, meaning if you have 1 lot (100 shares), the next day you will have 500 shares in total. If the share closes at rm22/share the day before, next day the share price will readjust to become rm4.40.
