It wont happen right now.. maybe mid 2021 or end 2021.. but no pandemic no momentum..

I guess many link pandemic too much on glove, and use pandemic as indicator.
High number cases then glove share price must rise.
This is not necessary.

Look at mask, mask price drop off significantly from extra ordinary high price, despite demand for mask still strong and almost 60 billion people need to wear mask everyday.

It's all over the news.
Tony has been trying to diversify out for some time now. Their new F&B chain Santan is in a few locations.
They are also trying to use their Tech platform to go against GrabFood and FoodPanda.

https://www.soyacincau.com/2020/12/29/tony-...ivery-business/

When trying to transition, you first need to make sure your new business catches on.
If Air Asia sees success in the tech space and captures market share, then you move into Phase 2 of the transition.

And if you have a strong tech platform, then you can try be an aggregator and try to beat Trivago at their game.

Don't just look at their primary business, good business move to where the money is.
Wriggley's chewing gum didn't start off selling chewing gum. They were a soap and baking soda company. Likewise, IBM didn't start off making computers.

Actually, I'm quite pessimistic on their endeavor.
To push for adoption and eat into the market share of those big players, they will need to burn a lot of cash.
In their current situation, I'm not sure they have big enough pipe to do that.
Beside, what they're offering are nothing new.

Hmm... let's hope vaccine works... If not 2021 will be another gone year. Really feel like disposing all of my UT and equities.

I am pessimistic too.
Like you said, it's nothing new. They have hoping that the smaller margins on offer will be enough to appeal to the retailers to move over and eliminate the first mover advantages of existing players.

I never had any money riding on AA so maybe an investor in it may have a different picture.

There was that domino effect once the RM 6 level is breached that we spoke of yesterday. Mass selldown at 4.42pm which kicked it down just below RM 6, which looks to have triggered more selldowns. Think that was a good RM 15 - 20 mil pressure in the final minutes.
