Are our countries going to transform into technology manufacturing sector? tongue.gif

To be honest, many big companies have already left or reduced the operations in Malaysia.

Our neighbouring countries are much more favourable.

this was in 2016 when i used HLIB.. that time noob still.. then i graduated to FSM SG.. then now IBKR .. i still holding my prized AMZN shares i bought in 2016 in HLIB
*
Assuming i go with the IBKR via TSG, for each trade that i plan to do, i need to transfer from CIMB MY to CIMB SG and then purchase a share through IBKR. Withdrawals will be in reverse i presume. Are the dividends deposited into CIMB SG account straight?

From what i see in their website, share fee is USD 1.5/order vs USD 25 for our local banks (for foreign shares).

I have an eTrade account for employee purchase plan from my previous company. When i sent a message to their customer service, they need me to submit documents via mail to create another account to buy other stocks. Too troublesome doh.gif

For IBKR, money transfer preferred option is through CIMB SG or Transferwise?

I use Transferwise. Then convert currency in IBKR. That’s not the difficult part. Opening the account and filling forms is the real hassle especially in this time when the markets are volatile. Therefore, they’ll take a long time to process unless you put a substantial amount of money in your account
*
How do you transfer back the money to your account for withdrawal? I'm reading the IBKR thread and they say you need one for transferring back.

So after we clear this Budget roadblock, next should be US election results and what's next?

Our political situation will be ongoing so no date for that biggrin.gif

everything is now trapped.

becos budget may not be passed easily - jasa, healthcare, epf withdrawal, loan moratorium issues.

if moo takes too long to act, bursa will go down deeper.
*
Usually is there a timeframe for the budget to be approved?

oh boy...

Nov 4, EPF raised stake in TG to 6.048%.
https://www.bursamalaysia.com/market_inform...?ann_id=3103607

they sure r now getting serious about TG's future dividends.

can't trade this counter anymore... but can sell if u wish... EPF happy to take it biggrin.gif
*
Once it reaches my TP, I will sell it off too. Imagine when EPF offloads all their holdings 😁

Will EPF offload? I think they will hold a certain percentage of klci component index. Once TG crossee 20% of global output, they will dwarf everyone else.
*
Probably will to make quick profits but I'm sure they will buy back when the price is low.

after 1 hr, the frenzy has somewhat died. biggrin.gif

most gloves lost 6-8% which is about right, not overdone.

the thing to watch next is what happens to the counters that gained - can they hold the gains?

pfizer vaccine news is now optimism and caution mixed.

will see in the next few days/weeks.
*
Got a news article about China vaccine trial in Brazil that is halted today. I wonder how the market will react to that.

there is also a report about a new strain found in minks in denmark infected 214 people, about to cull 12 million of them.

WHO cautions this new strain will complicate any vaccine.

the thing is the world is tired, stressed, needs some optimism to move along and not get stuck where it is.

so, market will react to any major news - see who shouts loudest! laugh.gif

it will be a long war, not a quick battle.
*
Agree, until someone can say the vaccine is 100% effective and it is readily available tomorrow, nothing is certain, yet biggrin.gif

seems like vaccine news more and more convincing. U guys did any top up today? mine didnt get match yet and thinking to cancel the Queue.
*
I'm also waiting to see before topping up, if more companies are going to declare vaccine coming soon over the next few days, there is a potential for gloves to slide for the next few days as well.
