I'm interested to read UBS's full report. Why did they target so low when all the rest are at RM9-13.

Macquarie's report read already can throw away, because full of conflict of interest.

Offtopic:
Don't know how retailer can continue like this:
Market Participants

It is becoming a warning sign because this has been going on for months.

Information asymmetry is rampant on Bursa. Retailers are heavily disadvantaged due to lack of financial knowledge and inside information.

What does the institution and foreigners see that retailers don't see?

I have dumped practically everything in my local portfolio (including banks, pharmas, plantation, gloves etc) except for a logistic company which has yet to recover from the March crash. The stock market is getting more and more detached from economic activities on the ground. Businesses in major commercial centers like Taipan, SS15, SS2 are closing like nobody business. Friends doing businesses are complaining sales have dropped 25-75%. But the stock market index has recovered as if Covid-19 had zero impact to the business environment.

Lock in all profits first. Don't want to be the last to leave the party. Bye Bursa. It has been an exceptional run since I re-join the stock market in May.

Unless market crash again or our Malaysian government starts introducing QE, I'M HOLDING CASH. And Bitcoin.

The sellers could have sold morning and afternoon session at higher price. Why suddenly dumped at pre-closing?

Same thing goes to PBB. Could have sold 16++ all morning and afternoon. But they choose to dump at pre-closing.

Any experienced sharks can share some insight please? What is the intention.

Whatever analyst say, trust 10% enough already. Last time when Sapura price was RM4, analyst consensus RM6-8.

See where Sapura is today? My biggest tuition fee ever when first starting to invest 😂.

Good morning folks. Another dull day at the market.

Everyone is concentrating on the loan moratorium. But there is a pink elephant in the room that we seems to have forgotten.

Sabah is going for state election on 26th September 2020. If Perikatan Nasional aka BN takes back Sabah, then most likely the PM will call for a snap general election.

Investors may become cautious and stay on the sidelines pending the result of the GE. Who will win? PN or PH? This may affect the prices of all stocks including the glove stocks.
*
Possibility of snap election is 1 major reason I pulled out from equity market.

Possible contra T+3 effect.

There was a big buyer vs seller fight after TG QR was announced last Thursday afternoon. If the buyers were contra players, then tomorrow will be worse.

Only small fish contra players face T+3.
Big players have margin facility to hold longer.

My speculation is those who buy on Thursday after QR come out are ikan bilis.

Big player should know better that gloves (and to be fair, most "hot" stocks) always drop after QR.

TG share buyback today.. no wonder steady the price
*
No wonder can remain green. 12.5m mil shares bought is equivalent to more than 20% of the shares traded today. A very big buyer indeed.

On the other hand, Shahril finally gonna resign after leading the company's share price to fall from RM4++ to RM0.10. Good news for the company.

Feels like the world financial markets just woke up from its dream and realised that we are all still in a negative GDP growth environment, and that Covid-19 is still very much alive and kicking rclxms.gif

Will we see the return of "cash is king"?

Local institution net bought 258m
Retailer net sold 2m
*
My interpretation of the numbers:

1) foreigners continue to be net seller
2) Retailer’s buying interest losing steam
3) institutions tried to def 1,500 but failed

As retailers interest continues to lose steam, and foreigners continue to shun Malaysian equities (they still love our debt securities), the burden will be on the local institutions to hold the index.

malaysian market doesn't follow S&P once again. Same like Nikkei 225. But don't chase high. If you bought yesterday, congrats.

Very good sign. Low correlation is good.
