Live a life of no regrets. I was out of the office since 12 pm. No time to monitor the market.

Still made a killing today. That's good enough. 

I didn't. Today I was busy with work. I only managed to buy Comfort, HLT and Adventa yesterday. But sold already this morning.

Now Adventa and HLT are going up like crazy. Adventa up +17.31% and HLT +28%. 

Itu saya tahu..

That's why I say being a trader and doing trend trading is stressful. Sometimes we can get big gain but sometimes it can be a big loss too.

Better to do unit trust investment or ETF or do value investment.

We will get a better work life balance. Money cannot take to the grave one. 

Eh? When did I say that I have a RM100K portfolio? JK only. 

On a serious note, there is no magic formula. Keep it simple.

1.  Read personal finance or investment books. Over the past 20 years, I must have read about 300 to 350 personal finance or investment books. And I am still reading them.

2.  Invest in yourself. You are the best stock in this whole wide world with limitless EPS, PAT, etc. If there are any professional courses that can enhance your career path, take them! Whether it is a certificate, diploma, degree or master course. Depending on where you are in your career path now.

3.  Save at least 10% of your take home pay. The more the better. Without savings and without any emergency fund, there is no money to invest. Simple. As you grow older, the savings rate percentage should go up.

4.  Live within your means. If you can afford a Honda Civic, drive a Honda City instead. If you can afford a RM1 million house, buy a RM800K house instead. Always have a buffer zone.

5.  Don't carry any bad debts. This means credit card debts, personal loan debts, etc. The interest will kill you. Housing loan is OK.

6.  Diversify into different investment plans. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

7.  If you can afford it, buy a landed property. Even if it is a small one. I bought my first house for RM220K. 10 years later I sold it for about RM540K. Renting only enriches the landlord.

See? I told you there is no magic bullet. 

I came from nothing....my family was even below the B40 group.

If I can do it in less than 20 years, so can anyone here. 

Did Supermax and Top Glove go up after their bonus issue? I can't recall.

But from my understanding, bonus issue has no real benefit to investors. In theory, it is to improve the liquidity of the stocks and to make it more affordable.

To my mind, just be honest and say "We don't want to pay dividends this year in order to preserve cash. This is in view of the Covid-19 pandemic which is causing uncertainty in the banking industries especially with the extension of the loan moratorium for selected groups. We need to monitor our NPL, cash flow bla, bla, bla"


Isn't this easier? 
Yeah. HLT rebounded back +5%. Too volatile. I have a few meetings today. No time to monitor.

I don't want to come back at 4.30 p.m. and see on my computer screen showing HLT -20%.

if TG can incr revenue 53% and PAT 84% QoQ, what can we expect from Spmx QR in Jan?!

earnings per share of 29.64 this qtr... annualized forward = rm1.18.

how many in bursa is doing that or better?

stock price rm6.84... PER = 5.9.

how many in bursa has that EPS with that PER?!!!

no matter how much u like or dislike TG, give that a thought...
frankly, i am puzzled why some major fund(s, EPF?) kept dumping, esp today.

wanna collect less dividend to pay us <3% next round?!!!

For Top Glove, total shares of 16,700 at an average cost of RM7.373.

For Supermax, total shares of 12,600 at an average cost of RM8.486.

Just to give some comfort to the other forumers here who are "trapped" in glove stocks.

Will be holding until next qr to see how it perform, since future suppose to be bright. But previous qr is below my expectations, company is losing money. So I will hold at the moment, won’t sell and won’t buy to avg down.

Need further info to determine next step.

Entered some glove stocks just now...I will know next Monday whether I will jump from the 14th floor or make some money.
