We all know US gonna raise interest rate against inflation sooner or later, that's gonna strengthen USD and weaken MYR.

*
there will be a point that even raising interest rate will not stop inflation if US fed keep printing money

You really have the tendency to hate all the 'popular' stock and all your investment decisions are based on emotions. Popular or retail-heavy stocks do not equal to poor investments. Genting literally has a cult of investors who will keep shoving money into the company in hopes for retirement. And it is darling stock among analysts and foreign investors. Good companies do fail, but Genting is the number one taxpayer in our country and politicians will do whatever it takes to make sure Genting survives despite popular beliefs that future policies might put Genting in danger. RPT transactions are very common for large conglomerates. Berjaya Corporation, YTL, MMC, DRB Hicom all these cash-rich matured companies frequently engage in these type of business.

As for companies held by TS Karim, Serba Dinamik is definitely a poor investment after the auditor flag. SCIB and Kpower? SCIB lies at the core of the Sarawak economy and offers an alternative investment for local funds who wish to gain exposure to Sarawak apart from the O&G sector. They have a completely separate management team and currently its external auditor is silent on the latest unadited financial statement.

If you hate them so much, why don't you put your money in your mouth by either buying put warrants or short these companies. Instead of shitting on these companies as they go down in value. If everyone uses your logic, then QL resources, Petronas, Tenaga, all these blue-chip companies can be considered as garbage as well right? Keep rambling about these companies without any actual positions and you irritate people. I've learnt this the hard way. I thought QES was a low-tech company favored by a lot of retail investors on i3 forums. But it turned out to be extremely profitable in its own niche and the boss was very aggresive with his business approach and consequently funds love him.

YTL LAND was taken private with a very low cost. minority shareholder suffering huge lost if held at IPO price

Berjaya Corp is mother of all hidden operating cost that suck shareholder money and benefiting the directors and chairman, same goes to DRB Hicom

MMC was also taken private at a very low price and very unfair to the minor shareholders

One thing many of them defend genting is because genting is a cashcow. when it gives out milk, people will not care of it's shitty RPT behind it

QL resource is just too high price to buy in currently. however i don't know whether it can go up higher

I think you are still very young to know the history behind these crony stocks that mahathir empower them during the 80s and 90s

I am not touching any China stocks for now. Even feel like selling my China Unit Trust Funds. This latest Didi incident means CCP is going strong handed. They are making a statement that they can take hits more than US, even though through such hits they lose more. But any hits to US now quite critical.

So it will go either ways. Either US goes soft on China to make money together, or go more gung-ho to expedite the delisting of China shares in US. Once sanctions kick in, HKSE will be doomed. China stock market too much restrictions and overseas investors will be scared to invest in China then. Unfortunately I cannot tell which way US govt will go. I figure we have around 2 months more until the 90 days covid report is out. That will be the pivot point.

China is definitely coming out swinging. Will US call CCP bluff? Or is it even a bluff?

trade on market reaction, not speculation then

You can start with a screener like this one.

https://www.bursamarketplace.com/mkt/tools/screener

There is a tab on dividend yield..

Note that screening is just a start.. U need to deep dive on the fundamentals of the stocks.

Also I have to tell u that dividend yield chasing can be dangerous.

+ Uncle Boon will scold u for sure.

and he will pick BAT and TNB as example rclxm9.gif

Mi Tech hit 3.7 yesterday. Nice profit for those bought at 3.1.

I will still hold commodities for the time being. Waiting for few factors to clear: PM status, change or wait recovery? Lifting of state of emergency n resumption of parliament

picking up MI @ 3.10 is a daredevil stunt. no sound trader will do that

around 635 after the two consecutive red candles, avg up too fast hence eating my profit.

so lesson learnt, SIT and don't do anything and wait before taking any kind of actions  doh.gif

but the volume is quite low on the 2 red candle, it might be a fake signal (but turned out true)

boon3 correct or not?

anyway, i believe the negative sentiment in our country will make it very unlikely to break the downtrend

production in Selangor has been affected thus reflect on TNB share price

Wah lau, sure bo. RM7 is very low!

A couple of weeks back CGS-CIMB sent me a list of price to enter for bank shares. RM7.80 for Maybank, RM4 for Public Bank and RM3.xx (cannot remember) for CIMB. Other banks cannot remember also.

Do you still think that Rm7 is low?

It's subjective. my argument is we may not reach at the low of 3.50 (after factored in inflation growth), but to reach Rm7 is not possible

Whereas from trader point of view, the lowest it can get is literary Rm0

OK TNB bought... half of my available cash in brokerage... at RM9.70 (now RM9.69).

Yes it is all about timing, sometimes we get it right sometimes we don't. Previously a lot of analysis on BAT, how it declined over the years etc. I went in last year at around RM11.xx, collected a couple of rounds of dividend and managed to sell at RM15 a few weeks back. I previously wrote about TNB, about how in future we will have electric cars etc plus Green energy which TNB already has some investments in it. Whether those investments will pay off I don't know. But TNB is like Petronas, cash cow to the govt investment vehicle.

Will TNB drop back to RM7 or even lower, possible. Especially if new govt comes in and decides to have another electric company or we adopt nuclear energy. If that happens we adjust accordingly.

OK another half of my cash to invest in bank.... or some other shares that won't give me much heartaches.

but you also need to take note that share price does fluctuate and today price is 9.71 but next year it may be at rm11. then macam ada untung sikit laugh.gif

if rm7 then rugi banyak lar sweat.gif

this Tenaga, many factors people choose to buy

for me, errr... i also don't know how to trade this. if buy at breakout, i think it doesnt have meat since it's a utility stock, how far it can go?

and because it is a utility stock, it won't be so suay reach Rm3.50 right? whistling.gif

or was it because today 8k cases then everybody panic sell

Perfect recipe for disaster

what could make KLCI go down further?

CPO. SIME,PPB,IOI,KLK,Hapseng. they are the KLCI supporter now. do note CPO is still on the high side
