QUOTE(theberry @ Jun 11 2020, 03:01 PM) using hlebroking also but computer ram will slowly hit high then need to restart browser. is it normal? Most probably server issue but if there's something with the Ram maybe it's insufficient ram? How much ram are you using? If 4gb ram perhaps it's possible to crash as the server get more loads + more tabs are being opened at the same time + programs running in background |

QUOTE(Cubalagi @ Jun 11 2020, 09:01 PM) At 4.45pm, the closing auction starts. Trades can be input, but none will be matched. At 4.50pm, price will be matched at the auction price and then will not change until 5pm. So the auction price is based on the highest volume price? So in that pic it would be 1.620? |

QUOTE(Cubalagi @ Jun 11 2020, 10:52 PM) Just to add that the reason the auction is there is to minimize closing price manipulation. Closing price is a very important price for the market. If there is no auction, then one party can put in a small buy order and use a proxy to put in a sell at high (or low) price right at the very end 4.59pm to manipulate the cloaing price. With the auction, you are now in competition with much more orders from different investors. And after the auction, the auction price is the only price you can trade between 4.50-5pm. Are all traders' order be taken into the auction price? Or is it certain parties? |

Some thoughts, as the current drop in US markets was due to the fear of 2nd wave pandemic, wouldn't it be another reason people go in again for more glove counters and subsequently push higher? Given the price has dropped from the ath now hmm

QUOTE(infested_ysy @ Jul 24 2020, 09:37 AM) Does anyone knows what will happen in this example for rakuten trade? Iinm, if the current price is 2.1, ur order is at 2.0 but it suddenly went down to 1.9 due to large volume of sellers letting go at 1.9, then urs will be matched at 1.9.You place buy order for stock X, RM2 But current highest selling offer is RM1.9 Will Rakuten automatically match your RM2 with the RM1.9 and buy them for cheaper than what you originally keyed in? Happened once when I put my order at 1.41 but 20mins before market close suddenly huge volume sold at 1.34, my order then matched at 1.34 This post has been edited by zz287963: Jul 24 2020, 09:42 AM |
