I disagree. But you aren't wrong either. It is the Dunning-Kruger effect. People think they are the next Warren Buffett when they win and they will start to lose all confidence if they lose like today. You never learn if you don't kena burn at least once. Just like when you learn how to drive motor. At least you will fall once.

No, I did lose. Paper loss 50k in Adventa and LKL. I entered at a pretty low price and still kena burnt. 1% for me is a few thousand ringgit already

Yes, it is insanely good. Warren Buffett's average ROI for the past decade is 20%. But he sustained the same ROI for 20 plus years. But in your case, 50% ROI over 5 years is pretty decent. Good job and pat yourself in the back. Invest in fundamentally strong stocks

Yes, everyone of us thought the same way too until you actually lost your first huge money (10k and above baru ada rasa). Everyone was a Warren Buffett until they got burnt big time. In a stock market, loss is almost guaranteed. The important factor is when and how to mitigate the risk involved and minimise the losses.

What does your portfolio look like now haha? My portfolio almost cleared except holding only 3 shares of TopGlove and Supermax and I got stuck in Genting too
