No, I was talking about most Bursa investors shifting money to the US markets. Old folks is just a form of euphemism haha. Doing the opposite now

I see. Looks like I'm old enough. do not understand the current new gen of expression

QUOTE(propertyfeature @ Jun 28 2021, 11:53 AM)
For me, I like Dialog's business model whereby they focus on building assets and tank storage (midstream) which proved to be resilient even during this pandemic times.. Only EPCC (downstream) is affected, whilst their business are not affected by the fluctuations of crude oil price & risks are well managed.

As for growth catalysts, I believe there is a major shortage of petrochemicals to serve the South east Asia population.
(current commercial storage capacity of ~14 mil meter cube to cater for 3 bil population base)

In contrast to developed countries eg. Netherlands @ Rotterdam Port which is one of the largest petrochemical center of the world with independent storage capacity of ~30 mil meter cube to cater for 400mil population base - European counterpart

One can look into the Pengerang Deepwater Terminals & future phases in Johor.. not to mention, the geographically blessed location of Pengerang site
*
Hmmm. Will look further. Thanks for the info.
Dialog is a klci component stock. Epf has been buying. Don't know when they will be selling. This will make it less meaty to trade

I'm looking at homeritz. it's sitting in my portfolio at a positive gain

Cash per share is more than 20 sen with no debt.
Yet issues out so many warrant to raise capex.
What is their intention?

Should this raise concern for existing shareholder? their warrant B is in the money and dilution of shares will be expected, at the same time, the cash balance in bank will also increases if warrant holder choose to exercise their warrant

Yet another piece of #@%!^ transaction...

https://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/gent...hklinked-entity

Genting Hong Kong said: "The board (of Genting Hong Kong) announces that on June 29, 2021, Crystal (an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, as the sole beneficiary of the trust), the seller (solely in its capacity as the trustee of the trust) and the purchaser entered into the agreement relating to the sale and purchase of the aircraft at the total consideration of US$4 million (equivalent to approximately HK$31.2 million)."

"The disposal is also expected to save the cost associated with the maintenance and operation of the aircraft. It is intended that the sale proceeds for the disposal will be used as general working capital for the group (Genting Hong Kong),” said Genting Hong Kong, which is a sister company of casino and hotel operator Genting by virtue of Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay being a substantial shareholder in both companies.

Genting Hong Kong said the aircraft disposal is expected to result in a loss of approximately US$6.45 million after taking into consideration the disposal net proceeds of about US$4 million and the carrying value of the aircraft of US$10.45 million.

"The actual amount of gain or loss as a result of the disposal to be recorded by the group will be subject to the review and final audit by the auditor of the group. However, the disposal is expected to save the company’s expenditure of approximately US$3 million for the repairing of the engines of the aircraft and approximately US$3 million per annum of aircraft operating costs,” Genting Hong Kong said.

Let me be devil advocate devil.gif

Loss for Gening HK so will be gain for GenM? rclxm9.gif

But GenM has to fork out 3+3M per year. making any amount less than that is subject to a loss. but GenM revenue is in B, not M

So, it is a double edge sword. if Covid is cleared, GenM may be benefited from this deal thumbsup.gif

Nah. Not going to buy a share which the boss salary takes up such a huge portion of profit

People are buying it because of the dividend yield and recovery play

Actually they are doing pretty well fundamentally. Their supplement and home use product is really gaining shares and good retention.

But this stock public perception no good. You go out ask, eh want buy Amway shares. They din't even look at financials will tell you don't want MLM company.

Guess many people have phobias to the brand due to their aggressive direct sales personnel.
*
to be frank, if any friend would recommend Amway product to me, and if it's a necessity items like dishwasher, detergent even toothpaste and other stuff i will just buy and support as a friend

those premium products like facial and supplement stuff.. err.. too expensive even it classified as mid range, me cannot afford

so in bad times to come, the T20 might downgrade their lifestyle by buying M40 products. they will not run out of business easily

Yeah is is good to use past event as references..however, each crisis will be slightly different.. Like this time COVID it started off with health crisis then slowly turn to economic crisis..

But one thing is for sure, crisis time is the golden opportunity for a company to re-look into their cost base, and make adjustment accordingly.

Those company that are able to sail through crisis will emerge stronger  flex.gif
AMWAY , worth looking ? DPU 27.5 sens since FY 2017 till FY2020 laugh.gif

Lack of volume at the moment yawn.gif
*
their target audience is very crucial point here. back in those 90s, mainly of their buyers are Chinese

if they can penetrate Malay market, it will be the catalyst for their growth

but macam no volume lah

Haha maybe its a generation thing.

I try swapping out my traditional pyjamas and replacing it with Nike sportswear for bed. Seemed it is really more comfortable, feel like silk  tongue.gif
*
for that, you can have arism series by uniqlo. price is half of what nike can offer. quality wise it can't beat nike, but in terms of comfort it is similar, good enough to last for 3-5 years.

justify to buy nike clothing? maybe not in developed country

their potential market is SEA in the next 5-20 years is HUGE

The most important factor is control the pandemic, stabilise the politics which entails working w the oppositions n stem corrupt practises
*
That will takes ages to implement

The main issue that need to address and revamp is the education system overall

Some religion teachers and preachers teach fellowers that it is okay to be double standards and to help the people from the same religion first. Some religion doesn't emphasis on the issue of corruption

Seperation of politics and religion is required to repair this broken country

waiting for moo to make next move - either he surrender or make final assault.

if do nothing but diarrhea, bursa will just follow...

I think the only way for now is downwards. That's the reason why I'm keeping my war chest for now. Most probably the war chest will be reserved for foreign market. I'm still hopeful of Malaysia market but not at the current state. He's leaving or not, damaged is done.

that can only be true... the unabated exit of FF attests to that completely.

the risk is if it goes on like this for another few months, the damage may be irreversible.

but politicians dun care, do they?
*
They already have enough in their pocket. they can say whatever they want.

I'm looking at this, but i'm not convinced it will fly high once it's break due to the political sentiment
