QUOTE(AVFAN @ Mar 9 2021, 05:10 PM) depends who u ask lor... Like the Cantonese’s saying, god also is you, ghost also is you. One second the professional analysts say it’s overvalued faster sell, now they say it’s unjustified faster buy more. A dangerous game for retailers.some will say rm2 is too high. JP Morgan says 3.50. some other said below, made it to CNBC: ... at 4.44pm, there was a lot of pushing down on TG price... from 5.18 to 5.10-5.11. i was too slow, tried to catch 5.11, failed. 4.45pm onwards, likely same party started to gobble up all the way to 5.19, buying 0.5mil shares at 5.19 itself. shorties, sharks, whales, dragons... beware! Anyway guys, what do you think of Kpower at its current price point? Is it still overvalued?
What would be the ideal price you’d start accumulating Kpower? Any input is welcomed! |

QUOTE(pinksapphire @ Mar 9 2021, 07:53 PM) Hehe, I'm sure there are still others, and they won't think it's a penthouse. Thanks for the reassurance. Luckily I have less than 15% allocation on the stock, but given the high % of loss it’s still really painful.I still have more than half left from my total. I cut cuz wanna reduce my loss exposure in case fall off the cliff. |

QUOTE(greyPJ @ Mar 11 2021, 02:01 PM) stock market is a place we use experience to exchange for money, and use money to exchange for experience. Some love the experience so much, they’d rather risk losing more to get the experience than stay bored to death with FDs/ETFs. Such is life. pinksapphire liked this post

QUOTE(pinksapphire @ Mar 11 2021, 02:51 PM) Don't think of the what ifs. Imagine if you did that and it went down by 5 times more, then how? "What ifs I have bought" became "I should have sold" Yes you’re right, all “aiyas” and “what ifs” are done in hindsight. Thanks jiejie for the reminderRemember why you didn't do it in the first place, and no regrets when it goes up. Like I wouldn't say, aiya, regret I sold some earlier, etc. |

QUOTE(angkhian @ Mar 11 2021, 03:36 PM) Years ago I bought mahsing at 1.28, held for a long time until last year the news of them dipping their feet into gloves caused an unusual spike for me to break even nicely. It dropped back immediately after that. Didn’t regret breaking even. All i got rewarded for keeping Mahsing all these years were just meagre dividends. Still a better investment story than FDs though. |

Hi sifus sekalian, I’ve been wondering, how does TG’s eventual listing in HK’s market affect its value? Why are investors shunning from the stock because of this decision?
Does a dual listing dilute value (like PP)? Or it has 0 effect on what’s trading in Bursa? 1st time encountering this so it’d be great if someone can share some good insights. TIA! |

QUOTE(howyoulikethat @ Mar 12 2021, 02:53 PM) Me not sifu, but here is my understanding. HK Listing is primary dual-listing. From Google, primary listing is listing of new shares. So, new TG shares will be available to HK, adding to current number of shares, thus dilution effect. OTOH, SGX listing is secondary dual-listing. Secondary listing inSGX means selling existing shares to be listed in SG. No dilution happens. I made a huge blunder in not finding out more about the Hong Kong listing. If only I knew about the difference of primary & dual listing then...... Mr Market ady knew what's gonna happen then, hence the market reaction. P.S. I really wonder why the need for primary listing? HK listing must only be primary listing? I don't know. If TG changes it to secondary listing, perhaps share price will rebound. But unlikely, as TG has ady submitted application. QUOTE(ChAOoz @ Mar 12 2021, 03:27 PM) If the offering in HK is not well received, it will signal further downtrend as sign of subdue demand from global investors would weaken local investors confidence. Thank y’all, now I have a clearer picture. Not sure if I should hold it for the dividends though. But it could happen the opposite, which is high demand from global investors during the offering exercise will provide the much needed confidence for our local investors. It's really a gamble, and also depend on market appetite for gloves share. Especially global institutional investors |

Other than giving out stellar dividends, what will TG do with the existing massive cash on hand and the capital that will be raised (around 7B I believe) from the upcoming HK listing?
Are they venturing into something new or will they keep competing on the same shrinking market of latex gloves? |
