QUOTE(annoymous1234 @ May 23 2020, 09:53 PM) You have to decide, bro. Your money, your call. I still have an unrealized loss of about -8% in Maybank shares. I think if there is another one or two more rounds of distribution of dividend, it will cover the losses? Of course if the share price really drops to RM5, then different story already... |

QUOTE(lowya @ May 24 2020, 09:26 AM) Right now, this -8% unrealised loss for Maybank is about 2.7% of my total portfolio.I have only 4 stocks left now in my investment portfolio. I have been slowly selling my stocks and holding cash. P/S: I have 2 separate accounts now. First account under KenTrade. This is for investment purpose. Maybank is parked under here. Second account under Rakuten which I opened before the MCO for trading purpose. Glove stocks, etc are parked under here. Lower trading costs. |

Good morning folks.
I sofld Comfort and Kossan this morning for a small profit of +RM1000 plus. My eyes bulged when I saw my portfolio for Supermax and TopGlove. The unrealized profit is now enough to buy a small car after 2 days of trading. This is madness. To take profit or to continue to monitor until tomorrow? Decision...decision... |

QUOTE(zstan @ May 28 2020, 10:17 AM) Gila bro. No thanks. 😃QUOTE(summer_86 @ May 28 2020, 10:21 AM) I taken profit on supermx after two day trading .5k profit is enough for me You are right. I learnt lesson from past , should just take profit if hit my target price and dont be greedy . QUOTE(annoymous1234 @ May 28 2020, 10:23 AM) I think the question to ask is, even though it's already rm7 now, should we buy more? Possible to go up to rm10??? Careful. Unless you got time to monitor the computer and make split second decisions. Price is dangerously high now. All traders goreng the glove stocks. Very few true investors left.QUOTE(solstice818 @ May 28 2020, 11:03 AM) The problem is you will never know when is the high or when is the bottom. The best thing is to lock some profit and let another half ride the wave. I agree with you bro.Close the 2nd half at either your TP or when it loses momentum. At least with this, you wont have that kiasu feeling of losing on the "potential profit". Even now my unrealized profit has dropped to half at lunch time. I will queue to trim down my holdings in Supermax and TopGlove and take some profits off the table. Thanks for the advice. 🙏 |

Yup, the stock market is doing all right - on a bull run.
This is because I am seeing a lot of new forumers here for the first time who are coming out from the shadows. One day the party will end for sure but for the time being, let’s just enjoy the ride. Again I repeat - just remember to protect your downside and your backside. |

QUOTE(MasterConfucion @ May 30 2020, 09:51 AM) I know that, bro. 😃I was referring to the posts for the last 1-2 days in this thread. I saw a lot of unfamiliar names, some seniors and some juniors. Some sifus and some beginners. It just shows that the share market is heating up. Otherwise, this thread and the Investor’s Club thread will be like last year...Zzzzz |

Not all sunshine my friends. If you scroll back to my earlier posts, I did share the story of my RM170K loss in the stock market.
We just have to learn from our mistakes and manage our greed and ego. Life goes on. 😃 |

QUOTE(hs_clover @ May 30 2020, 01:55 PM) Try Rakuten bro. One of the lowest brokerage fees in the market.QUOTE(ChAOoz @ May 30 2020, 01:58 PM) True true so much information bias, later people think it's all sunshine. Let me share some tragic news from the other side then. Looks like we are in the same boat. Don’t be disheartened. Mr Market is like that. Just soldier on and aim to do better. We can’t win them all.I bought into Bursa during political market turmoil at last week of Feb 20. Bought mix bag of construction stock thinking new gov sure stimulate the hell out of economy to placate voters. Then covid19 hit, loss almost 40% entry capital in 2 weeks period, wipe out 3 years of investment paper gains into loss territory, as global market also crash. Need to cut heavy losses in counters that i hold to recoup capital so i can buy some with bargains. Truly a sad period, nearly reach liquidity crunch as i refuse to sell till it reach the bottom |

QUOTE(goldrush @ May 30 2020, 11:24 PM) Don’t need millions unless u enter at later stage. Yes, you are right. My bad. Mathematics failed. If I am not mistaken, he is referring to those who buy at early stage: low price then sell now. QUOTE(jvcpcv55 @ May 31 2020, 10:31 AM) because both counter up by 4.3x and 6x in less than 3 months Yes, you are right. so don't need capital of 1M to 2M if got 1M will turn into 4.3M and 6M On a side note, I don't have RM1 million to sai lang on a single counter like Supermax. Even if I have the money, I won't have the balls to do it. It would probably be spread between 5 to 10 different counters to diversify the risks. But realistically, it is impossible to time the market, i.e. buy at the lowest price and sell at the highest price for any stocks including Supermax. If anyone managed to do it consistently over the long run and not as a one-hit wonder (like the song), then I salute you. |
