From the announcements, EPF is still buying TG and I think its because TG Board smartly brought forward their Ex-dividend date to 19 October 2020 when they saw EPF consistently buying.

With banks not giving dividend until God knows when, EPF needs to have dividends coming in otherwise their returns to EPF members will be alarming.

Here's a thought that I had yesterday. Now that moratorium is over (extend to December for some), businesses that closed down will have some money after liquidating. Where are they going to put the money? In shares! I think we'll see a rise in retail investors again in the near future.

Bond market?
https://blogs.worldbank.org/eastasiapacific...tic-bond-market

Just retained in WGBI in sept review (next review March)
Also our bonds are high yielding compare to other countries, foreign funds were net buyers for bonds for the past few months (prolly due to the bond spread)

I think bond market is more suited for long term investors (e.g. affluent ppl who have WM portfolio). Retail investors go in to shares between 1 to 4 weeks because they may need to sell quick to cover expenses etc.

I think gloves went down a bit because there is an expectation that arising from the VP debate this morning there will be news on Vaccine to boost Trump's ratings.

Hi guys, I'm new to trading and want to ask about the transaction cost. I'm using Kentrade, so the Brokerage is 0.60%; Clearing Fee 0.03%; Stamp Duty RM1 for every RM1,000; and SST 6% on brokerage and clearing fee.

Lets say I'm planning to buy a stock at RM0.155 at 10,000 units, the platform shows the Transaction Cost as RM44.87 but based on my calculation the Transaction Cost should be at RM12.35. Can anyone enlighten me on how Kentrade calculates their transaction cost?  icon_question.gif
