QUOTE(Kar Weng @ Feb 27 2021, 01:01 AM) Personally dont like PRS cause so late only can take back the cash 🥲 PRS, like EPF, for now is tax deductable. If you're at the high tax brackets the tax savings alone is <20% before taking the fund performance into account. That's certainly worth being "not liquid". Also it is possible to withdraw PRS account B like EPF, or to withdraw for no reason which is subject to 8% penalty.Stashaway seems more liquid than PRS since we can withdraw any time. Maybe it’s more helpful for people who needs discipline saving? |

QUOTE(Kar Weng @ Feb 27 2021, 05:41 AM) Thanks for the reminder! That’s a good point. I personally contribute to EPF and SOCSO for tax reduction. Both EPF and PRS occupy the same section in tax reduction correct? So if we already maxed out EPF is there still a point for PRS? QUOTE(BoonieTan @ Feb 27 2021, 07:26 AM) Believe prs and epf was seperated in 2020 onwards. |

QUOTE(pinksapphire @ Feb 27 2021, 03:24 PM) Ohhh...thanks! And you guys reply so quick here, lol Random question for everyone...does the high frequency of staying home changes anything to your lifestyle now? Do you enjoy being at home more now, cuz less hectic, more time for self, or still can't wait till the days you can go everywhere? QUOTE(Randomization @ Feb 27 2021, 03:48 PM) Personally, I'm an introvert so it is fine for me. No need to think of excuses to skip gathering that I do not want to join. I'm also an introvert, even though I'm sure you all will refer to me as a youngster (20s). Staying at home when not working is 2nd nature to me. However my business has been badly affected by covid, until now, my property portfolio is aimed at expats and university students (which both have left) and to make matters worse, my parents have lost their part time jobs, so I've basically been living off savings and investing (and the scraps of my business) for the last year. The only thing I miss is travelling. If you ask me, the most affected one are those younger gen that hangs out a lot. I can see that they having hard time staying in. Oh and my fiance is a foreigner, we were thinking of making it official last year, now I haven't seen her for a year. Sorry for being off topic. |

QUOTE(Angelpoli @ Mar 1 2021, 10:50 AM) Friend, to all your questions so far: first there is nothing "normally" about this situation, it's not everyday a bank gets fined 30% of their mkt cap, not too much precedent to draw on, maybe one can google hsbc fines for reference. Second, do you think management will request for suspension of their own shares if they think it will go up? Get your seatbelt ready of course. QUOTE(greyPJ @ Mar 9 2021, 10:52 AM) more like blind looking, genting and AA can bankrupt if international border remain close for another 2 years. Aa doesn't need two years to collapse😂but I'm in agreement with you for sure.not factor in covid Brazil variant. This post has been edited by LoTek: Mar 9 2021, 10:55 AM HereToLearn liked this post

Aax is like a scam (for shareholders), they dump all the non profitable routes there. I might be wrong but I noticed before covid, many china flights, and hk of course, are still under AA and they are expensive PROFITABLE flights, mostly from lack of competition. south_panda liked this post

2020 was unprecedented. 2021 just feels like recalibration after a dizzying climb.

QUOTE(squarepilot @ Jun 24 2021, 03:49 PM) very severe for some. in my industry, almost everyone i know has downgraded their lifestyle drastically (or pivoted to random side gigs like selling fruits, insurance, health products), sold house, sold car, some even selling excess or older business equipment. |

QUOTE(lowya @ Jun 25 2021, 06:37 PM) i know someone will reply nonsense, i asked for ARR (a statistical data), and was met with a personal experience and religious blessing as the argument. So truly nobody has ARR for the hospitalization claim indeed, i mean what else can u fall back on besides big data? PS: Sorry OT, no further reply required. |
