WTA, where to get optical cable? I just got a LG HT set, now I'm just missing an optical cable

I gotta ask since I'm a noob in optical cables/HT systems....

Are there different types of optical cable connectors? I'm seeing 2 different types of optical receivers. On my 3rd party X360 VGA cable, I'm seeing a small hole in the optical output port, whereas the small hole is not seen in either my amp's optical in port or my original 360 component cable.

Need to know, I wanna purchase an optical cable tomorrow to connect my 360 to me HT system, but am afraid of buying the wrong type of cable, since I'm seeing different stuff in the optical receivers

Well, certainly it's the square holder one. The difference is that the 3rd party VGA cable has a round hole for that small rod in the middle to go into, whereas the official component cable and optical receiver on the amp doesn't.

But I guess, as long as the shape is still square, I should be safe?

Well, I got myself an optical cable and yeah, it fits nicely into the 3rd party VGA cable no problems

The sound is nice...although needs getting used to since I've been used to 2.1 setup GOW and Lost Planet sounds great..
