Hi all,

Got a question though. My mum's DS Lite recently had this problem:-

Every time she starts to play a game, and for just a few minutes of gameplay... it automatically switches off.

She was quite sad that this happen and when I send it to the shop where my mum bought the DS, he sent it to his technician and it's been almost 2 weeks and still not sure what is the problem.

I've read in forums that when problems like these happen, Nintendo will have to replace with a new one.

The question is... can a Nintendo DS Lite be repaired or if not, and since there is no known Nintendo distributor here, means my mum just have to put aside her DS Lite and buy a new one?

Depends on where you bought from lor.. Like GH they'll send back to distributor, then send to US/Japan to get it replaced by a refurbished set. See first la what's the problem.. If just died like that should be replacable..

Not from the guy I bought... he said rosak means rosak... very sad to hear him say that ...

Try ask some retailers le like GH, Imbi, TNL.. if they take and repair for you or not..

Haiyo. Sorry to hear that bro. Is the DS flashed when you bought it? Like sihum said, take it to GH, TNL or Imbi...they should be able to tell you if it's salvageable.

Try changing the battery with another one and see if that helps :/ .......

It's not flashed... it's ori... so sad when it happened... my mum practically got nothing to play at all...

psyhun... I did ask the guy is it the fault of the battery... but from the information I get, its the mother board inside...
