Waiting for rider is also something of a grey area and is actually a lose lose situation for the drivers.

Some riders just abuse it and make drivers wait for 15-20 mins. Haven't event gotten into the shower but called for a Uber already.

Uber will tell you to start trip after 5 minutes, but if we do that, it makes us look petty and upset the rider and give us low rating.

But it's about give and take la, we don't bump into inconsiderate riders all the time.

in ur case, if ask rider change destination to bangsar village  first, then when reach bangsar village set again to mid valley can help?

just make sure u have rm1,rm5,rm10 notes that sum up to rm50 is enough, uber have mix cash n credit rider unlike grab mostly cash

I believe you are charged the upfront fare regardless whether the actual trip used the toll or not.

not quite sure....but uber sot sot dei 1 from my experience when i always drive passenger using sg besi highway towards KL city centre towards jln tun razak, i notice riders will always kena charge toll from SMART tunnel although didn't pass coz GPS capture it due to SMART just below, similar to your case?

unless you change your destination halfway via the apps, you will only need to pay the upfront fare regardless of how jem or what route the driver take.

I checked with my friend who has been an Uber driver for more than a year. According to him, car renting service is available for RM450 or RM600 a week.

RM450 to RM600 per week is crazy. If one is willing to pay RM450*4 = RM1800, you can buy a new D segment car e.g. Camry 2.5v

In penang, I felt grab is better...for uber, driver do not know where you go, so after the driver accepting your ride, he will call you and ask where is ur destination. If he doesn't want to go, he will ask you to cancel. I felt it is waste of time as rider need to rebook again and wait for another driver. For grab, more chances for driver which accept ur ride will bring you to the destination as they will know the destination beforehand.
