I just tried out driving Uber last week.

Just curious how do you deduct your petrol cost from your total earned?

30%? 40% just to be safe?

O yes. My petrol consumption is ranging from RM0.15 - RM0.25. Should be around 30 - 35%. Including getting to the pickup location and waiting time before confirming the pickup

Very fuel efficient on highway ride.

But not so good (to bad) in the city.

i think i was lucky enough to get 1.5x boost between 12.30pm to 1.00pm ++. 20 km and it was rm28

Today and yesterday is really a bad day. I thought i was alone

Actually i am really pissed off today.

I got a request, from a rider 5+km away, fine i go there.

Otw there (3km) away, there is a notifcation from Uber "We have matched you with a closer rider!"

Not sure if the earlier rider cancelled the ride or the Uber app system, suka hati changed to new rider??

Yes, it is closer but to get to the location, because i was on a flyover and the route to the pickup location was below the flyover, so had to exit from the highway, ok fine i will exit the next one and go to the new location

Then another same notification from Uber, (closer rider!), only it is NOT EVEN CLOSER! It's a 6km and going there took me 11 minutes.

Is this a new feature from Uber? If yes, i dont find it useful at all and very confusing!

edit: When i first doing Uber, this "close rider" as well as "accepting a trip while on a trip" were not there and i enjoyed it so much

Now this 2 things really drives me crazy

ic. It's terrible. shouldnt they just let us commit to only one rider? I going insane man

I mean it may work well if the road is clear and we are on slow speed, but it doesn;t help at all in your case and mine

They continue doing this, im sure they'll lose many drivers to grab.

I always give 5 stars except for riders who:

1) strong body odour 2 stars

2) No credit to return my call for pickup resulting in a long waiting time. 2 stars

3) riders who itchy hand potentially rosak my car 1 star

4) riders who slam hard my car door 2 stars

5) riders who accidently cancelled the trip, at the same time phonebattery is dying and pinjam my car phone charger to request back and at the same tine, made m3 kena bar from uber for 5 minutes because not accepting 5 trips request while she still in my car taking forever to boot up phone and open uber app. Fark this shit, i litterally said get the fark out of my car, im barred because of shit rider like u. And my acceptance rate lower because of u. 0 star (only thing is i cant rate the fark out of this rider because she was not on the trip) i go to pickup u 15 minutes journey and u do this shit to me.

No 5 is the worst rider i have ever had

Lately surge is constantly high.

Now also surging as high as 4.3x in cyberjaya

Is Uber not enough drivers nowadays, or there's rider promtion on going?

If i am not in office, i go there immediately

Used to have an Asus. Frequently hang. Then become very hot, restart itself then after some time cannot even turn it on again
