I usually drive around 4-5 hours on weekdays (in CSA).
Previously, netting 100-150 is common.
On Fridays, it's 200-250.
Now ? Not even 100. Lucky day can get above 100 lar.
But out of so many days, only 1-2 lucky days ?

Admit it lar, income dropped about 30-50% after the promotion ended. Same driving hours, same pattern, same fuel consumption - only less income, a lot less.

I asked some riders and they said the fare is same as GC. They used to choose Uber because it's more economical. Now, we have lost our advantage over GC already.
I think it's due to the insane surges during the 0.99 promo. So it has done more harm to their own customer base rather than boosting it.
So now you guys understand why so less ping nowadays ?

I actually lazy to post anything, but it seems some ppl need to know the real picture before actually driving for Uber. And I purposely register an account to post this.

Now tell me this is common.

And FYI, online time may be 4-5 hours.
But actual time outside is 6+ hours.

All I want to say is stop painting nice pictures for Uber lar.

Rides above rm10 = still ok lar !
Rides below rm10 = free labour (charity)
Rides below rm5 = free labour + own pocket (charity with donation)

From my past experience, foreign number normally makes a decent / good trip.
I will wait at least 15 mins, and 9/10 times the rider will usually call you with another number when they see you have reached the pickup location.
Cancelling the trip for rm3.75 nett is charity already LOLX...

Rules of the game - this one is damn real.

If you guys happen to be in that area, check out their rating before accepting the ping.
Below 4.5 rating, accept at your own risk.

Let them check, some even gave me back 1-star.
Even better cos I don't want to see their face again - ever.

I don't mind, because I have enough good rating. A few 1-star won't have much impact on my overall rating.

Your planned time is when the map is practically white - meaning no/minimal surge/boost.
You probably need to do 4-4.5k before calc your fuel and maintenance.
This will translate to about rm200+ nett per day.

Nowadays = NO WAY !!
I used to drive ~6 hours during peak and on bad days, I barely crawled past the rm100 nett mark.

Got airport return trip consider not bad already.

I think Uber has no rule regarding no eating in the car. So I guess its allowed.

Ya, I hate it too. Even I myself don't eat in the car.

I received this sms in the evening too.
After almost 2 weeks of inactivity, Uber sent this...

I will go to those dreaded places for short trips tomorrow, and give them 1-star rating HAHAHA...
Maybe 2-star, because Uber is paying for them

You won't know if it's sending data, even while you were "offline".

USJ / Sunway area used to have boost of up to 1.5x during peak hours, now also pathetic 1.1-1.2x.
Boost keeps dropping 0.1x every 1-2 weeks.
Terrible traffic to drive under this kind of pathetic boost, most of the time you are only able to do 1-1.5 trips per hour.

Guess they need to balance their book with the introduction of new incentives and new area.
Well, I see even no reason to drive in these area anymore.

Previously still have some reason to drive there due to high surge and boost.
Now totally no need to go already.

Nowadays I drive even when the map is white, because some areas that I know is 80% confirmed long trips.
But sometimes have to wait a while for ping.
