Seems like if you are not driving for a looong time, they will give you higher quest bonus LOLX...

Hi guys , would like to know do u all declare earning for tax purposes?Saw news say we are not excepted but how to declare no say .Can minus petrol,toll and tax from company ?

yesterday and today i received msg saying closer rider found but i was already very close to the pick up point.

yesterday i was ady in front of the pick up point, then suddenly prompt tis msg. and the distance was 6.2km away from me. today my car is almost in front of passenger ady then rcvd tis msg again...luckily i clicked start trip one second before the msg prompt.

does anyone know how to avoid such situation? i nt sure is it due to i clicked the msg mean i accepted the suggestion. bcoz when the msg prompt out i was looking at gps so i press the screen to fastern the msg prompt out time.

A few weeks ago, I said hitting 9 trips for morning rush hour quest is a Mission Impossible. Today, it became a Mission Possible!

Congrats. You must be very lucky. The most i can do is 6 only ...

I git rm70 for 12 trips. Still not driving though.

Then just use grab , that way drivers can see where you heading to and you don't have to cancel of they accept.

Ditched Uber more than 2 months ago

Anybody from Ipoh here, I really need a senpai here. Have been driving for month and a half. Only manage to break even, with a bit of expenses for tomorrow drive. Maybe my time or places is wrong?

There is a trick I think most people working in KLIA start using it now if they going around short distance from the airport. Or they home just nearby.
They will ping driver outside the queue zone. Example Mitsui. Then let the driver know their actual location and destination. Most drivers will accept because they are not even waiting yet.

Mitsui follow klia flat rate, i.e. Min rm35.00

Hi guys, been driving for few days. Newbie obviously. Yesterday most of my trips got surge but after see fare breakdown, surge was not reflected.

I msged uber and they said already calculated in total fare. But on my first day driving, surge is shown calculated separately. So ni kene tipu sama uber or what?

Yup. the problem is not able the money. is about drivers refusing to take short trips from KLIA.
that is the only way unless passenger choose to order Grab.
Grab is worse actually. Fix fare RM65 so those working at KLIA wont be using that.

If i do not receive any quest means whatever fare i receive -
uber % = to my earnings without any additional income?

Actually, teach people right.....all go camp at klia, dunno for how many hours wait.....crazy...

i have a question...what is the point in camping outside KLIA ??
waiting 4 to 5 hrs for a trip that lets say is to ipoh
it would be around rm260-280...i have done trip to ipoh
then return empty...uber takes abt 45..toll 2 ways 70...petrol 70

i understand and respect everyone's strategy and diligence in finding ways to maximise their earmings in uber...but i really want to find out the rational behind this "waiting in klia" thingy...

i drive everyday in nilai n have trips to send ppl from nilai to klia and there is no any day where it doesn't show 100++ cars waiting queue the moment i enter that area..

the other thing is i went to the old lcct airport to send a staff working in mas cargo...it also showed 100++ car in queue...this really aroused my suspicion if it has been set by uber that this msg is automatically sent the moment we enter those areas so as to discourage waiting in klia

And, I did raised this question to some of the Uber/ Grab drivers I meet (I mean when I ride their car lah), they say, everyday they wait about 3-4 hours for before someone request for ride. So, everyday, they will start their day drive to klia to wait, then, each trip earn flat rate of RM75, before less 20% commission, then, once done, go back to klia to queue again, wait another 3-4 hours for next riders. Eeach day, they only get average 3-4 rides, or say 8-15 hours period, where actually they only drive maybe 6 hours, each 1 hour from klia to kl, other time just chill, and empty car back to klia, and for that earn about RM200+, which they said better than driving around in KL/ PJ which earn less. Since they just wait, they just shut off their car, car not moving, lower maintanance cost, lower milage also.

I dunnolol lah, different people different preference kua.......that's why even now u can see lots of taxi camp at klcc, kl sentral, etc......dunno waiting for what also


As for trip to ipoh, actually, u can reject it one lah.....uber only cover KL till Seremban only.....any distance further, u got right to decline. And, if u choose to accept, can nego tepi on the rate coz u unable to pick up any passenger outside kl, so, guarantee empty car back
