Hai , im new into uber...im confused about that cash king...is it the
70trips = Rm500
90trips = Rm750

anyway im from ipoh
*
QUOTE(flyingteeku @ May 12 2017, 07:07 AM)
For penang, if you complete 90 trips, they top up your fare to max rm750 if your fare collected less than that, 110 trips is rm1000 . Is this consider cash king?
*
This is not Cash King. Same like previous incentive for KL. But count by number of trips instead of number of minutes online.
The RM750 is gross or nett amount?
Equivalent to average of RM8-9 plus per trip.

Why think drivers feedback is of any value?

Uber is a shitty hole company  (GRAB? also another shitty hole)  tongue.gif , only Uber got better tech to shit on drivers

but how they gonna pick rider if they are at sunway and plant gps at KLIA?
*
Correct phrase is they already "in KLIA queue" and using Grab to find airport trips. Basically when reach airport time, queue also no need wait so long time.

Used up all 3 free RM7 Uber promo rides today. Thanks to Uber Malaysia.
But yeah Uber driver is more professional. Because they are used to the unknown.

I bet if I took Grab with promo, confirm the whole journey the driver will complain about the promo code. zzz. Got example here: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4301957. Lol. So less professional Grab driver.

i received many pings which the pick up location is far away... sometimes 4,5 and once more than 6km away. is it normal? most of the time the drop off location was just 1+, 2+, 3+ and 4+ km away. There was 1 time i need to pass through toll to pick up rider.
*
Normal. You can set your target. Let's say ping request 10 mins above do not accept. That's all.

Will driver be penalised if we keep cancelling trips because sometimes the pick up is like super far away.
*
Yes.

Ignoring ping request is not an offense.
Accepting ping request then self cancel later on is a serious offense.

just curious, anyone here still survive driving uber full time > 1-2 year?

The thread starter of course. Uber full timer driving Axia with occasionally 2k per week income.

Survive as in? The earning able to sustain living cost in KL?
Or survive being ban from driving?

they will tell you it was upfront fare. it happened to me many times but the worst one, have to travel 28.8km + 30mins and the fare was just RM19 vmad.gif  mad.gif  ranting.gif

The trick is to never give up complaining / respond back to their every reply.
They will give in and compensate you in the end. Just that whether is worth your time and effort responding or not, that's another story.

at least he called and let you know where he will be heading. imagine not knowing before hand. he got on the car and you swipe start trip. location: Seremban. and you already set target that gonna be the last trip, tired and wanna go home. will be in a very very sticky situation.

Stupig and newbie question..I had a pickup over the weekend..there was 3 riders..

One of the rider requested me to drop him off to his house first (not part of the destination request, even with the new multi-stop feature)..

Then only I dropped off the other 2 riders to the requested destination..do I get paid for the detour?
*
Check back the route. See the trip, minute? and km? calculate back to check the fare is correct or not.
if you are underpaid, send in a trouble ticket report. mention that got detour as rider ask for it. you will get compensated.

My thoughts...

1. It seems that many drivers are happy to cancel a trip if the rider doesn't turn up within 5 minutes, and earn the rm5 cancelation charge.
If drivers abuse these charges, pissed off riders would choose Grab or taxi.

2. Uber's built-in navigation function sucks. Today it 'guided' me into a one-way street, but in the wrong direction!
*
1. Request only when you are ready waiting at the pickup location.

That's the reason why many african passenger prefer to use Grab. detour, waiting, etc got no extra charge. tongue.gif

Uber : How are tolls paid?

On the UBER page, it say :
If I drive to Seremban via PLUS highway, when I come back, can I claim the PLUS toll? Anybody tried to claim? How to claim? Need toll receipt / proof?
*
not worth taking outstation trips. learn your right to cancel the trip. not like this fella:
