How's the demand in Ipoh? If you don't mind, can share your routine, like how long you online per day, average fare per day, average fare per trip.

Let's start with mine. I usually online on Friday night (after dinner till 1-2am, depending how sleepy I am, as I work full time mar), and weekend (after lunch till 1-2am on Saturday, depending how tired I am), and Sunday, really depends how much I earn last 2 days and what time I offline on Saturday. So pretty flexible for me IMHO, not really chasing incentive whatsoever, just drive for fun, plus some extra money.

From that routine, I would say I will get about rm250-300, yeah, pretty low, but, as I not really into money chasing, pretty tired though sitting in car long hour, although it relatively stress free (only stressed is when want to pee, and no petrol station around or passenger in car, demand is non stop biggrin.gif ).

Usually, the most difficult part will be the first trip (where I usually start from my home), as my area is not in core service area, so, demand really erratic, happen online less than 5 min, request in, while last week, got to wait 1 hour before first request in, and the pickup distance is even longer than the ride distance. Anyway, I just take it as pinch of salt, give and take lor, u win some, u lost some lor. If happen this case, just hope next request pickup will be nearer while the ride distance longer.

Then, almost miraculously, subsequent request will be more frequent (i.e. my routine is once complete my trip, either set my gps to back home or nearest CSA, whichever nearer) as prior reached, request will come in, and until I decided to stop.

biggrin.gif As mentioned earlier lor, uber is just like any work, u got to put in effort to earn a living lor.....if anyone buy into uber partner recruitment marketing strategy, hope earning easy money with minimal work, they will come out sorely disappointed lor. The only advantage of uber i can see is the flexibility and relatively stress free (with exception of harassment by taxi drivers), in return of trade-off in low income, i.e. comparable lah if you work in McD or KFC laugh.gif

Want to earn a lot with minimal effort driving Uber, I wish I know that strategy also, doubt those driver who are there willing to tell me.

Work during the surge hours and try to meet incentive criteria to earn more but then again may not be possible for part-time partners.

Tried the surge hour (not intended, just coincidence at KL Centre which incidentally surge), personally, I do not think worth the time, as usually the area will be jammed up, u end up more time stuck in traffic trying to reach your rider, and risk rider cancelled it due to wait too long.

About incentives, well, I would say it mere marketing gimmick, due to the criteria they set, as chances are the fare will be higher than the minimum guaranteed fare per hour if you clock in certain hours, i.e. the demand is always there. Example, u min trip per hour is 1, you need to station at CSA, etc, etc.....chances are you almost certain will be get more fare than what they guarantee, even if you don't, they top it up, but, end up, you still need to work for it.

In conclusion, there is no easy way earning a lot in uber, i.e. beat the system.

Tomorrow I am on leave so planning to try from 6 -10 am and then from 4 to 8pm in order to test how true it is that you can earn high during these peak hours.

Any advise?

Dunnolol, try it and let us know...but, the time is peak hours, ppl rushing to work/ finished work, good luck stuck in jam. You may get guarantee fare per hour due to little fare you got, but, you might recover that if you drive outside that hour too.....anyway, awaiting for your update

Can't comment, from my past 1 week experience, I would say increasing. But, since I am driving part time, so, mine may not be represent whole situation.
