if uber xL then no different or perhaps more expensive than taxi liao sweat.gif RM110++

said destination put wangsa maju, will passby a jalan genting klang ma. for driver he earn more coz he paid by distance and time. for rider the charges remain no change. win win situation?
*
Well, I can't speak on behalf of all drivers, but, for me, it really give and takes, it depends how far I need to detour from the existing route, which I usually choose the shortest for the fixed rate ride, unless the shortest route is jammed and make it not economical for me to use, then, I will use fastest route. For your clarification, for fixed rate ride, we are paid by fixed rate also, not by distance nor time, thus, any detour will definitely affect our income. As someone mentioned, please do not take advantage of drivers, as what you expect we drivers do not take advantage of you (just like taxi)

QUOTE(jacky91 @ May 30 2016, 03:04 PM)
Why don't you bring this up to Uber's official office? I mean, we are just normal drivers here...the answers we gave could be very different from the official party. Better you contact them and get an accurate answer...  thumbsup.gif
*
Yeah, very true. Really different person will have different answer. In fact, mine was I send an email/ online help on this issue, and was told it affect. Anyway, I did not really go monitor it if really affect or not, too many trip to remember. I think even uber staff also not sure

QUOTE(donald88 @ May 30 2016, 03:26 PM)
Hi Uber Partners,

Is there an option in Uber Partner app for drivers to only pickup passenger who pays with credit card?
*
Unfortunately, there is none. Asked already mad.gif I would love to just pick up customer with credit card payment only, save the hassle, faster drop off too, especially critical in those "dangerous area" like bukit bintang, mid valley and klcc. Worst still some inconsiderate passenger insist send up to door, right in front of taxi stands and sitting behind. Usually foreigner (if you drive long enough, you will know who they come from whistling.gif . Dreaded accepting their ride request).

from my experience no bro.

if we get to be choosy, we are no different than taxi drivers  biggrin.gif

Payment by cash only happen in Malaysia (this what I heard), not in other countries. Due to uber want to fight with Grab for share of market/ share of wallet. In fact, I would say quite a lot of uber drivers decide to drop off driving altogether due to this. Personally, I found it very hassle. If passenger want pay cash, go use grab.

Make the best out of the situation lo, use the cash collected to go pump petrol and reload your TnG.

Click the 'Collect Cash' button a little earlier before you arrive and let the rider have enough time to prepare the cash. Tell them that you are ending the trip earlier so they have enough time to prepare cash no need to rush later, and usually they will ask you to keep the change.

Yeah, this is what I usually do, I click little bit earlier, another advantage of cash, some customer tend to more generous, usually less than RM10, say keep the change, tips lah 3-4 bucks.. biggrin.gif may God bless all these kind soul innocent.gif

What is your acceptance rate? Incentive is based on acceptance rate (i.e. cannot remember, I think 90% acceptance rate,. so, if you make total of 80 trip for that week, your acceptance rate still 95%, so, you would still entitle for the incentive, but, if you only do say 20 trip, then, I don't think you entitle for incentive), not number of request you did not accept while you on trip.

Anyway, I might be wrong......I dunnolol

no lah many other cities/countries using cash.
bali, multiple cities in india, singapore, and many more.

but seriously, the best for uber to do is to stick to cashless payment. it beats their original vision.

Depends lor, whether u r partners or riders.....some riders just prefer pay cash, very traditional mindset, don't trust technology....but, I personally think card had more advantage than cash, first, it speed up the process of payment, just drop and go. Then, u can review back your trip if any dispute in fare, raise a complain, uber will credited back to you immediately to your card. U pay by cash, not only u slow down the process, wait for driver to give you change, then, if any dispute in fare, u need to raise complain, dunno when u get back refund, or how refund work.

Anyway, whatever they sukak lah whistling.gif

I still think that Cashless is the future and is the way to go and best way to educate good rider and prevent bad rider from abusing the system. Cash payment is like going backward.

Same concept like Online eCommerce purchase, cheaper and more rewards/freebies compare to conventional retail store buy stuff at RRP. Uber can stick with their Cash payment as now already implemented on couple cities/countries. But Cashless Rider deserve more reward like discount or freebies. That is why a lot of merchant offer some special stuff for certain bank Credit Cards.

Uber can offer some promotion like, Rider 10 times with Credit Cards, get yourself a Chattime 50% off discount voucher or something else. Or the 11th ride will be free worth of RM5.

Screw those Cash rider, they doesn't deserve those reward!

Well, credit card and debit card had been in existence for long time, and people are still carrying wade of cash to buy big ticket items in shopping mall. Old habits die hard. Or, there still some bank customer insist to go bank counter to perform bank transaction, instead of using ATM, until certain bank place some staff over to manage them.

Then, there are some who blame the system, claim credit card resulted in high bankruptcy, but, in first place, it is their low financial literacy that resulted that.

And, lately, I notice more and more uber ride is being paid via cash....... bangwall.gif

BTW, you still driving uber?
