As far as i know, gumusut-kakap fps o&m is done by ventures. I believe fpso cendor was epoms first o&m contract. That was in 2014.

The days of big oil is over. Crude will remain low for years to come. I still have work in an operating company. With no projects in hand i dont know how to sustain in this business. Its a good thing i'm from marine engr background. Looking hard to go back to shipbuilding supervision or marine repair jobs overseas nowadays.

Absolutely no fresh grads this year. Hiring also to replace staffs that left. My company had never hire fresh grads for technical positions anyway.

Thanks for the heads up. I dont know that much about t&i especially floatover...towing tau la....mostly fpso/fso/flowline transportation, hook-up and installation. Utk platforms mmg zero.

I always put my belief that floaters are the future. But nowadays its hard to find work cos nobody is converting F(P)SO vessels anymore.....

I can say one thing, the days of 11-14 mil USD T&I job prices are over. When u talk about floating facilities T&I, the new norm will be 7 mil USD....so unless those big guys does not buck-up, they will have jobs far and few in between.

Of course laa....petrofac opex per year was USD120mil, then comes along the mgmt of vestigo lelong-ing "USD50mil...USD50mil per year OPEX....sapa mau". Depa at twin tower saying "Wahhh....really ka, can do?". Done deal. In the end both die and petrofac laughing. Its a gas field for gods sake. Same old....same old.
