I'm driving a Peugeot 3008 2012 as a daily driver. I have all the tools used by the workshop to diagnose the car and fix it.

So far so good. Spent close to 10k last year replacing everything thing from the turbo, high-pressure fuel pump, rear suspension, coolant pump, spark plugs, thermostat and main bearing seal.

I even bought the same diagnostic tool used by Peugeot workshops and kept it at home. Whenever the car is acting up, I can view the diagnosis and order the parts accordingly. Simple ones I DIY. Complicated ones get the workshop to do.

Now I'm hunting for a 5008. This will be for the old folks. They don't drive much so it will be perfect and comfy.

Should u get a Peugeot? Yes and No.

Yes if you are willing to spend on the tools and read up on the problems online. No, if you're clueless and lazy.

Yup. Not for everyone.

Just last week, I saw a 5008 going for a mere 7k. Went to look at the car and was disappointed. Many parts missing. Engine misfiring. Turbo leaking. Head unit kaput. Mold everywhere. Suspected could be a flood car.

In the end, I left. The car should be scrapped.

This week will look at another 5008. Cheap below 10k with broken turbo. Overall nice condition. Hopefully can bargain lower because a turbo replacement is over 4k.

Also, Peugeot are very picky with batteries. If using a cheap one with insufficient crank amps, the car will throw many error codes. Some of the error codes not related and U may ended changing the wrong parts.
