i would pick mazda 6, or ts may consider nissan teana
recently researched on 4 to 5 yrs old cars, those two edge over others. price depreciate to right level, compared to similar yr accord and camry. Peugeot, no comment. never consider it. cost of ownership is an unknown issue. |

among the weak points on 2010 mazda 6, is dual airbag. didnt recall if it carry isofix for child safety seat, consider if it will to be family car.
other than that, mazda 6 is good looking car, sporty on exterior. fair amount of safety features like traction control, consider it's 2010 car. paultan has an article detailing pre skyactiv mazda 6. very detail and informative, penned by paultan himself. |

Just curious which model of Peugeot u are referring to? Many of them are 1.6
But without looking at which model of Peugeot, the answer is very obvious, in the long run for reliability, maintenance, and lesser problem -> Japanese wins by far. |

Mazda 6 would be a good choice. Nice looking car and reliable. Among all the jap car brands Mazda is one that doesnt look like an uncle car imo. And 2nd hand u can find it around 60-70k nw.
However do take note on the roadtax for 2.5. Its around 800 bucks a yr. Btw which pug u r considering actually? the 508? |

Peugeot 1.6 thp old revision engine is very problematic.. the only solid engine they have is the 2.2 diesel, been using my 508 diesel for 2 years now, very reliable. so far no need to send for repairs, just standard service which roughly around 1-2 hours

QUOTE(ayamxxx @ Apr 8 2016, 07:28 AM) battery hard to say, 508 uses different capacity, my battery lasted 1 year 8 months before need to replace.. but never buy battery from SC, SC wanted to charge me rm800 for the battery, i got it outside for rm400.The thing about peugeot, especially under warrantied car, u need to know the right SC to go to, I send my car to Setia Alam SC, eventhough i'm staying in TTDI. the guy there quite honest and really jaga my car. but base on feedback from people owned 308, pre 2012 batch are one of the worst 1.6thp engine.. 1.6 vti (non turbo) is a better buy if u're looking to own a 308 .
