Looking at buying a 2nd hand car for city driving and soon to be family car.

Does anyone have any experience with the cars above and how they run in the long run?

2. Stability
3. Problems

Don't touch second hand Conti cars out of warranty unless you know good and reasonably priced specialist mechanics outside who can repair the car for you. Among Conti, French cars are the most capricious. You should also have a decent level of knowledge about the model and where to get community support. If you only know how to pump in petrol and drive just stick to Japanese cars. Boring yes but unless you want adrenaline pumping excitement on when the car will break down and heart attack inducing bills then take the boring car.

My friend just sold her 2yr old 3008. Still under warranty but send for repair after repair, still cannot solve the problem. Used car dealer said engine koyak dy.... Naza just buat tak tau.

TLDR? In short - Peugeot sucks.

in that case, go for Japanese. it will be a huge upgrade to your wira in all aspects and you will get to enjoy it. the pug will require much more TLC.

the continental feel can be a little overrated at times and modern conti are stuffed full of electronics that it can be quite unnerving when your dashboard goes christmas on you.

I have a 2010 Mazda 6 cbu unit. Still rattle free. It's a driver's car. Good pick up and problem free. Normal wear and tear items replaced. I still service mine at Mazda Bermaz.

Get one with full service record. I will certainly go for M6. By the way, i also have a cx5 at home.

She top up RM30K to the bank to settle the loan.

1) Performance - Peugeot definitely got the driving pleasure
2) Stability(?) - Assuming u refer to reliability. Mazda gotta be more reliable
3) Problems - Japan vs Conti, obviously take the problem free Japan made
4) Maintenance - Japan made definitely easier to maintain
5) 2nd hand car? Ofcoz Mazda 6; Family car? Ofcoz Mazda 6. Long run? Ofcoz Mazda 6
