looks like this issue was discussed long time ago. Try to bring this up again with conclusion, I hope.

I have the same situation.
Try to find out if any other has the same case as mine.

My GT: US (created with US address)
My console: Asian
My Live subscription: SG/Asian

Conclusion: Worked

How about other?

Mine registered under SG gt and renewal using US XBL card... so far work fine coz renewal is for 12+1 month(another 3 month to expire) so i dunno if next time using US card again working or not...

The thread is first started on Dec 2006 ....

for gold subscription, yes you may use the card from anywhere. but not the M$ point card.

That statement is still valid even today. I can still use MS Points & Gold Subscription cards I buy in HK for my US gamertag account.

Even in HK, they do sell US card. U sure you got the US card?

If so, I would get a US card as i got a site sell them very cheap.

U may have misunderstood me. I said I bought an Asian (HK) card for my US account.

HK does not sell US cards. They sell Asian cards. The packaging is different.

I'll add to the equation. I have an Australian XBL account.

Asian XBL points : DON'T WORK
Asian XBL Gold Reload : WORK
US XBL Live Gold Reload (Bought online) : WORK

Terranova: You're pretty lucky to be able to use your Asian points on your US account.

Anyone else tried reloading points to your US account using asian points card? Specifically, HK Asian points?

i have an xbox live account with which i used trial version of gold only and that expired,now it will be the first time that i buy an XBL gold membership.the account i made was using a UK email id but the "location" of the gamertag was pakistan.
now,if i buy a gold membership from the UK,will it work properly?
and also please tell me which locations XBL gold cards is this website offering(the link is given below),would really appreciate a positive and helpful reply.Thanks

XBL gold membership is region free (currently). it should work regardless of your current location.

only MS points are region locked to (Aus, Asia, Americas, Europe)

well, if you look at the product cover, it showed "sky TV" which means its UK.

Currently i m using HK xbl gold (cheaper) for SG and US gamertag tho i cant confirm it will work with UK. Try googling, i m pretty sure it works

but for Microsoft points, is region locked.
