Hi,

As per the Description, I'm from Tanzania and will be in Malaysia next month, i wanted to buy a DSLR Camera and few lenses along, have done my extensive research but i still feel its not Enough.
i have few questions and would like you guys to help me out please.

1. The camera i shortlisted to buy were Nikon D5500/Canon T6s(760D). i decided on Nikon D5500, is my decision good? i am casual photographer, i take very few sports pictures a lot of wildlife pictures and street and portrait here n there.

What i didn't like in both cameras is:
Nikon - it doesn't allow me to see the changes of ISO/APERTURE in Live view.
Canon T6s - Very poor Battery Life.

The problem is i am not so rich so if i choose one of them i will have to stick to it for very long time because i am planning to invest some good amount on the lens.

2. i wanted to know the current price for the following in Malaysia/KL.

- NIKON D5500 (BODY ONLY)
- Nikon AF-S 35mm DX f1.8G
- Nikon AF-S 50mm f1.8G
- Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM
- Nikon AF-S DX 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR
- Nikon AF-S DX 18-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR
- Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-200 mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II
- Nikon 55-300mm ED VR AF-S DX

3. Where in Malaysia can i purchase the above, the place where i would NOT be cheated and 100% authentic items and the place i would never go wrong. Again why im asking this is because i am not originally from Malaysia, i do visit often for Business but it would be very difficult for me to change if anything was wrong or fake.

4. I currently have a PANASONIC DMC GF-1 camera along with 2 lens and cases i would like to trade or Sell. is there any place in Malaysia where i can do that?? i know many online but again i am not from Malaysia and its going to be hard to do that, any physical shop where i can trade my old camera?

5. Which are the best Gorilla Tripods available in Malaysia? Roughly around RM 400 - RM 600.

i would really appreciate your help.
Thank you in Advance

I don't think canonikon provide international warranty for their body. Why not you just buy from your own country?

Thanks for the Reply, we don't have the shops like in Malaysia, plus it would cost me almost twice to buy here even if i found what i was looking for.

Check if this website ship to your country.

www.bhphotovideo.com/

If you insist to buy in KL, one of the most convenient places would be YL Camera at Pudu Plaza.

Public transport:
KLIA/KLIA2 -> Bandar Tasik Selatan station (travel by KLIA Transit and change to LRT here) -> Pudu station (walk to Pudu Plaza is just around 5 minutes)

About 1KM or 2KM away from Lowyat.

It is a long established and more varieties camera shop. (Not a common place for tourist, a popular place for enthusiast in trading new and pre-own lens)

Cross check price first before pay visit to there.
(Like 3L Trading, Miyamondo on lazada.com.my or 11street.my)

And also pay attention on their up-sell or cross-sell offer (if you don't need those accessories, then don't take the bundle)

It's the name of the area. Btw KLDSLR in SS2 is not really a retail shop, more like their warehouse(but they do sell stuffs there if you ordered beforehand), so they don't follow the usual retail opening hours. They only open from Monday to Friday with no fix time, but roughly 11am to 3pm only. Depends on them they might open/close slightly earlier or later.

Go to their FB page and contact them. If you want they can ship it to your hotel or you can self collect at their shop.
