cyberjaya not that big i think... hate the traffic lights, foods bit on the high side and lots of african..

gave 7...good peaceful place with lots of eateries..what i hate, it has tons of traffic lights..drive lil bit stop stop stop

but nowadays it's quite developed, without being over populated

various types of chicks. you can go two weeks shagging different nationalities every night

and if you notice, lots of road signs and traffic lights are knocked down. it seems like cyber people using them as target practice

Old Town? Canteen? How many years you been to Cyberjaya.
Now with the opening of two shopping mall and row of shops there is a lot of food spot to choose from

No one is comparing about food taste..but we are talking bout choices of food...you hav food at dpulse..old town area..shaftsbury..kfc that row..domain...those shop lots opposite ibm building..the gem mall..etc

Food nice or not is personal preference..but the choices are definitely there..unless ppl just hide in their office without coming out and dont know what is happening around cyberjaya

I have been living in cyberjaya for 9 months for project in 2014. I have been eating around Cyberjaya, and stay in Cyberjaya at night. All the restaurants you mentioned I have tried it already.

Yeah, the food choice you guys mention are quite bad and far apart.

So I do think cyberjaya is not really a good place for food and living.

It is a place for work only. Most expat I know will don't want to stay in Cyberjaya, only students and foreign workers and some locals stay in Cyberjaya. Locals who stay in Cyberjaya also normally doesn't eat much in Cyberjaya since outside there are better choice.
I assume you 2 must be staying in Cyberjaya for years and enjoying the food there?

U worked for 9 months in 2014?...i stay in kl and i have been working in cyberjaya for the past 6 years..i see how much cyberjaya developed dude..if u r saying this based on ur 2014 experience..then i cant blame u...if u say the current choices of food in cyberjaya is poor..then i would say pj and kl is equally poor too..

and also..if u meant expat from India prefer to stay elsewhere..then possibly true..because they dont eat other food except for their indian food and prefer brickfields..

Sohai  /k/ say wanted peace and quiet with no traffic jam,got perfect place called Cyberjaya. If want eat haram food also puchong is 15 mins away. Safety also is very good.
Go clubbing(KL) also 30 mins away only

Now say boring lifestyle and many excuses.
I reli don't understand malaysian people sometimes.
Bodoh tahap banding apa pun intended x tau.
No wonder always kena con by other nationality,cause Malaysian dunno what they want.

There's no need to argue, u can move there and try out their life style there.

I just list down why people normally dislike cyberjaya, it just a general opinions, you can ignore it if you think it is not right:

1. Cyberjaya is full of arabs, africans and bangladesh. If they are proper students that come here to study, it is completely fine. But they are not, they basically party every night and very loud. If your home is far away from them then it is fine.

Depends where you stay, landed property around the lake or condos like Cyber Heights don't have this problem.

2. A lot people buying property are choosing the neighbours as well, but people who stay in cyberjaya are mostly foreigners that wasn't as friendly as Malaysians that you normally meet. And really don't expect educated civilized friendly foreigners will be your neighbours, people like that will not choose to stay in cyberjaya. You must choose to stay with Malaysians as neighbours.

Lol, cannot generalize like that lah. My iranian neighbour is chill and some nike neighbours there also okay.( Depends on area,srs)

3. Cyberjaya food is expensive, and not that nice. But if you can afford to stay there, probably wasn't an issue.
Yeah agree, deswai I say want nice haram food need drive to Puchong, but 15 mins. But Cyberjaya got burgerlab and some decent hipster place, but expensive lah.


4. Cyberjaya is a very very anti-comercialize, anti-capitalism place, all the shops and infrastructure, and fully planned by government, private sector have very little say here. So you will only see petron, but no other petrol station, you will only see KFC, pizza hut, and old town kopitiam but no mcd. You will only see Pepsi in cyberjaya but no Coca Cola. Everything must be in control, it is much more worse than communist city Beijing. This is basically the heaven of communism. But I really feel suffocated by it.
Got Petronas, got McD , but that is the point of the ideology you are stating here, if that ideology is not implemented, Cyber will end up like SS15 or PJ with massive traffic congestion and idiots double parking every step of the way.


5. Cyberjaya is a very well planned place, like a robot. At day time still not that scary, but after 7pm. It will become basically a dead town with all the foreigners party around. It is deadly quiet and noisy at the same time. You don't feel like this is a place for family to live, it is like a forsaken place. But I believe Putrajaya will be slightly better. Entire Klang Valley also have quiet place, we all know it. But I think Cyberjaya cannot use quiet to describe it, it's like a ghost town at night, you feel alone but yet it is full of shadow. Like in another world.
I have been living there before, so basically I can understood what Pepper has described, the bus stop is basically the only place that feel like a human place.

From this statement, I can tell that you are not just used to foreigners that's it lol.

i dont see any problem with foreigners. foreigners are the reason this city is cool and high class.

in cyberjaya everybody, even mamak or toilet cleaner are able to speak english.

it is not a ghost town anymore today. traffic lights are everywhere.

i can drive alone around the town at 3am and still feel very safe.

i dont see any place else comparable to cyberjaya. can you name one?

But that is really not the main point. I'm compare cyberjaya with KL city, which I prefer to live in Kuala Lumpur. Most expat I know, also choose to live in Kuala Lumpur. Even ambassadors from foreign countries, they will not choose to live in Putrajaya, and choose Kuala Lumpur. Because that is really a more happening place, and a place full of normal people.

Actually I think whole klang valley also slightly better than cyberjaya. At least it felt like a normal human living place.

I'm not against anyone to move in there, you like it, please go ahead.

seems like u prefer somewhere messy like bukit bintang, chow kit area...u dont like organized township...have to been to bukit jalil or some part of puchong where blacks and arabs are everywhere?..so those place are not livable as well??..cyberjaya food is expensive?...tell me if kl/pj food is any cheaper....also..u didnt mention parking in cyberjaya is way cheaper as compared to kl/pj...im not sure ur trolling or what with this statement So you will only see petron, but no other petrol station, you will only see KFC, pizza hut, and old town kopitiam but no mcd. so ur trying to say government actually restrict private sector from doing business there??...hmm....do you know Shell is coming up soon?...Old town kopitiam is under Berjaya group which is the same as Mc D & starbucks?..i have many colleague staying there and not 1 of them felt the same restriction like yours...also..if u think this place is not suitable for family to live...so kl & pj is much better as the crime rates over there are higher??..hmmmmm..interesting theory

Just few km up got Cybersouth development in dengkil..the price is not that crazy like cyber

went there once. very quiet. hard to find parking. and lots of eateries

All the buildings is arranged and planned, not haphazardly built like in KL...no old buildings also

One of the biggest myth is that the gov control the shops there..this is total bullshit...

The only reason shell or other petrol company or other famous brand doesn't open yet is because there previously find no profit there..they thought Cyberjaya will be dead city like lot of /k people...last time in 2006 some applicants try to approach Shell to open up franchise but it was rejected by Shell citing 'high risk', luckily Setia Haruman the key developer managed to coaxed Petronas to open one on 'national service' basis earlier

Nowadays seeing the rapid development I can name almost all famous f&b like nandos, bens, KFC, burger king etc have opened in Cyberjaya..just name it...two Starbucks is just few hundred metres apart from each other, Shell will open this year and Mcd I heard will occupy the empty land in NeoCyber
