Hi,
I recently just bought a asus z170-k S1151 MOBO.
And it work perfectly with single kingston 8Gb DDR4 2133Mhz RAM.
But after i bought another kingston 8GB DDR4 2133Mhz RAM and tried to install, it suddenly unable to boot up and keep restarting.
Cannot enter BIOS if the second RAM is not been removed.
Anyone able to help?

Both Kingston RAM are identical (same model)?
You have 4 RAM slots, you can swap around the RAM stick to find the best combination to make them works.

QUOTE(WebWalker @ Jan 20 2016, 01:39 AM) Both Kingston RAM are identical (same model)? Yes, both same model (KVR21N15D8/8), same speed (PC2133), both DDR4 8GB. I thought it need to follow like DIMM_A1 and DIMM_B1 one set? This post has been edited by yewyifan: Jan 20 2016, 01:43 AM

Hi Webwalker, thanks for the hint. It works after I shifted the RAM to DIMM_A1(black color) and DIMM_A2 (blue color) which initially I was thinking that needed to install according to the color due to the manual of motherboard. Big thanks for your immediate reply. It working fine now.

are you sure both rams are working fine as tested individually? what is written in your manual? the quick guide shows a2 & b2 slots. info from newegg: QUOTE The board was delivered with bios revision 410 and when I first put everything together there was no video output. After trying many things I discovered that the board would work with memory in dimm slots a1 and a2 but not with memory in b1 or b2. Upgrading the bios to version 601 fixed the problem and all four dimm slots now work. This post has been edited by Skylinestar: Jan 20 2016, 08:01 AM

And yes, the manual is recommended to put on slot DIMM_A2 and DIMM_B2. I will try to update my bios and try again. Thanks for the advice. Will keep this update.

Latest update, after updated the BIOS from version 0320 to version 0601, it is still only work if single RAM is installed.
No video, no usb power if 2 RAM is installed into either A1 and A2 slot or B1 and B2 slot.
Any more advice?

By the way, I cannot boot start if I put RAM only in B1/B2 slot.
Is this normal?

Tried to clear CMOS but still cannot start.
I start to wonder is the Ram able to dual-channel...

Ok, gave up. Run on single channel first.
Dual-channel memory failed.
