I have been checking C8 55 inch price during this Raya holidays. Best price is MYR 8900 Best Denki 1U.

Will there be a promotion with sound bar or something in June or July?

Meaning, should I wait for a better deal in the coming months (before Sep with 0% GST) or Raya period (last day today) is the best deal to buy?

TV get cheaper with time , especially when they renew the model every year.
C8 is still relatively new in Malaysia , I was checking my unit's production date it was just manufactured in May 2018 from Indonesia.
So I don't expect the model getting much cheaper anytime soon .
If you don't play much games , C7 / C6  are much cheaper and still a great choice to go . I remember Desa Home was selling 65 inches C6 for RM9000

Thanks for the feedback.

I have PS4 PRO and play few hours every week (2 to 3 hours each on weekends).I have a little one who watches lot of YouTube and cartoon channels.

I have Samsung 4K UHT 55 inch from 2015 and was planning to upgrade to 65 inch. But decided on 55 inch as price of OLED for 65 inch is above my budget.

Burn In and brightness issue (TV will be in a marginally sunlit area) is some issues I have been reading on OLED. C8 has the pixel reviewer but I am still concerned on burn in, if left unattended and need to be handled well. QLED from Samsung is other option which don't have those issues but OLED is better in picture without a doubt.

I didn't buy anything this holidays and will buy one before STT kicks in.

How is the brightness on C8 in well lit location, considering you have one?

It's kind of difficult to shop around for good promotion in smart TV.

In Klang Valley, which shop and branch consistently provides good deals for LG high end TVs?

OLED TV has self emitting LED , the contrast is so deep it is virtually infinite  . They are also pretty versatile so you generally don't have to worry about glare  , even in lit room OLED TV will still look great . All Oled TV also come with a glossy finish that is effective at overcoming glare and reflection . The sunlight will cause the strongest kind of glare , no doubt  . Even for the brightest LED TV like Q9FN , the picture will degrade under such condition , but rest assured you will still be getting the best picture compare to other models .
As for the burn in issues , it is mostly cause by the uneven aging of the OLED organic pixels.  Burn in issues on OLED are rare and extreme cases ,as long as you maintain a healthy viewing habits .  But these occurrence are overblown because people only complain when they encounter problems

Should you vary the content you watch / games you play, the risk should be kept to a minimal.
Pixel refresher system exist in all the OLED TV , including Sony's but they are called different name . They are meant to help clearing the image retention , which is a completely different issue. Currently there's no direction solution to burn in
Desa home was selling several OLED last time I checked ,  the 65 inches E7 is priced at 10999 and 65 inches C6 at 8999 . Aside from the addition of a few new features  , the picture quality will remain largely the same on these panels for general uses
C8 (and the other 8 series ) remains the brightest OLED  , but the improvement is marginal . But all OLED are more than bright enough to match the highest HDR standard thanks to the perfect black level

They look awesome when playing 4K HDR games with low input lag for faster response.

Sales man keeps saying burn in is covered in the standard two years warranty from LG. Have you verified it? Does the extended warranty for another three years must (knowing the price tag and you keep it for few years)?

A friend of mine is selling C7 65 for 10K less than 3 months old. He is leaving the country for good. TV is in good condition.

I read differences between C7 and C8. C8 65 can get for 15K now.

I was nevering looking for this size Oled but now undecided.

I play PS4 Pro games and movies. Is it worth buying C7 or buy C8 after price drop?

I suggest you get a C8 , since you are a gamer . Dynamic tonemapping in game mode on C8 make your HDR games look better.
If you watch more movies than playing games , then go for a C7 instead.
10k is a good price for a 65 inches 3 months old OLED c7, Desa home is still selling the same model for 12k++
Make sure to check for signs of burn in or image retention if you end up buying .

There is no problem with the C7 and its still under warranty. But seeing the other comment that C7 is not good for HDR gaming due to the firmware update (holds true on some feedback in google) is putting me off. My friend doens't play games and so might need to take my PS4 PRO to test it in his TV.

Now my best location for a TV is a good 10 feet away and the sofa is behind a window with ample sunshine. TV screen will have direct sunshine. This is addressed by your comment earlier as this TV will still be good.
I tested 10 feet on the 65 inch TV and they look great on 4K content. Infact for 4K content you can sit even closer to TV.

But not sure whether I should go for a new C8 55 inch instead rather than 65 inch (C7 or C8) for my 10 feet. Since C7/ C8 is bezel-less 55 inch and 65 inch doens't look that big.

Anyone using 65 inch C7/ C8 from 10 feet or little less and which content has lot of noise in the picture. My family watch some SD channels and may be they get upscaled but not sure how good it will be. I cannot test all this at my friends TV.
