Hi want to ask for some recommendation,

What is the best soundbar for lg c8? I know that c8 only support hdmi arc and no earc.

My shortlist is between these three model:
1) Samsung HW-Q600A
2) Samsung HW-Q800A
3) Panasonic Dolby Atmos Soundbar SC-HTB600

Or is it better to just buy the Samsung A450 (HW-A450) with no dolby atmos support?

I have mentioned before, every time after a new firmware update, the user should;

1) Turn off the TV.
2) Turn off the main switch the TV is connected to, remove the power plug too.
3) Wait 15-30 minutes for the TV's PSU to discharge any left over current.
4) Reconnect your TV, turn it on in sequence of source > external audio (if available) > TV.

Also as for your Shield, after several updates you should once in a while do system reboot on it as well - just like what you'd do with your phone.

Lastly, eARC and ARC doesn't always work 100% of the time. You should accept this flaw by now.

1) & 2) & 3) Yea, normally after firmware update, i will "reboot" the TV by turn off and drain out the power

4) i also got unplug everything and reconnect to initialize the handshake.

FYI, I did time to time reboot my shield TV like 2~3 days and the netflix app got loading/buffering issue (stuck at 25%) which require Shield to reboot.

The issue now i still having is Video signal goes black screen with Audio signal still running.
This only happened on the connection of Shield TV connect to Soundbar Q950T then connect to LG CX.
I might wanna try change the HDMI cable 2.0 (provided in the soundbar) to HDMI 2.1 between STV and Soundbar to test again see.

So far Xbox series X and nintendo Switch which connect direct to LG CX i do not notice the issue (touchwood)

There is a new firmware version 03.23.06 for CX. But has been seeing people complaint hdmi ARC broke the Dolby Atmos.
If everything's working fine on your current firmware, I'd advise waiting.

First AV receiver that is almost commercially available that can work with HDMI 2.1 correctly.

I noticed that the 65" LG CX and GX price difference is only around RM1k on Shopee/Lazada.

If you factor in that the CX will need a wall mount when the GX already comes with one, why would anyone want to get a CX? I'm seriously thinking of adding a 65" TV in my house so appreciate any feedback.

Well, if you get the GX you're locked to the wall mount option that they gave you. And I think the G series starts at 55"?

anyone gotten their paws on the 48" C1 already?

seems the price of RM5k is a pretty good entry price for an above average OLED TV

any features not available compared to the bigger size siblings? hmm.gif

Lg oled differentiate by the model class so C1 wise everything is same as C1 officially. Its is nice for desktop or near view setup.

It is the same , but 48" is a little too small to be a gaming TV .

For workstation and desktop gaming it is fantastic though .

Gotem cool2.gif For my room size, 48" wall mounted is big enough.

yeah, in term of size is a bit small, it will be a downgrade from my existing 55", and I was gaming about 4 meters from the TV

if 55" just a bit expensive than this then it's a no brainer, but unfortunately 55" is about 60% more expensive at 8k now doh.gif

Just get the CX instead , more or less the same .

There was a 6/6 sale on 55 " CX for around 5.5k after cashback .
