I have a question regarding LG's 2 years warranty. Does it covers screen burn-in? And what about extended warranty? Thanks

QUOTE(arslow @ Aug 9 2020, 12:07 AM) Just got this.... Ooo. Nice. Why not c9? Can save a few thousand bucks.12920MYR....hope it was a good choice lol...i guess some places may be already selling it cheaper...but this was a convenient purchase. Now to prepare the media area for this giant thing huhu The thing that is pulling me bk from cx is their exclusion of dts and atsc 2.0 which is only available on gx. |

Yeah i wanted to get c9 65, but suddenly felt hard to get a year old product haha, might as well spend the extra bit for a new productThe thing that is pulling me bk from cx is their exclusion of dts and atsc 2.0 which is only available on gx. DTS removal is annoying but I will be watching movies through Shield TV 2015 and not HTPC. So DTS/HD/X will still be fine. I'm looking forward to software updates continuing to make things better on the CX. Will be hooking up my PC only after getting an Ampere x60 for Gsync and 1440p120 gaming. |

It can't pass thru dts as it uses arc to do it. Doesn't matter if its htpc or nvidia shield. Unless u r doing direct decoding from shield to sound output. Or directly from avr. Else anything cucuk to tv can't decode dts.DTS removal is annoying but I will be watching movies through Shield TV 2015 and not HTPC. So DTS/HD/X will still be fine. Not gonna use the TV hdmi except for my Hypptv and htpc once I get an Ampere GPU for gsync support. So no dts issues But yes I'll use arc so that built in apps like netflix, Disney plus etc. can give me lossy atmos. Although I've not yet gotten my rp500sa. Waited too long until out of stock at style laser ready Prefer buying from them. |

QUOTE(arslow @ Aug 8 2020, 09:32 PM) around 3 location (7 dead pixel) after changing new panel.QUOTE(madballs @ Aug 9 2020, 12:09 AM) i buy the C9 at may this year. Yes correct. LG service team came to change new panel. But new panel also have other dead pixel in different location. They ask to let it run first before log another service request. After let it run another 200 hour the issue still there. So call back and then tech come again to take pic of issue. Tomorrow LG service call ask to survey OLEDCXPTA in store before raise replacement letter .This post has been edited by excaliburcombo: Aug 9 2020, 04:16 AM |

Your x1500h cannot passthrough gsync support from the upcoming Ampere (or current Turing) GPUs though. Gysnc support requires you to connect the GPU directly to the TV and use eARC for audio. So no dts issues But yes I'll use arc so that built in apps like netflix, Disney plus etc. can give me lossy atmos. Although I've not yet gotten my rp500sa. Waited too long until out of stock at style laser ready Prefer buying from them. Reason for this is because your receiver does not have a VRR passthrough flag in its HDMI chipset. Even if it does (like this year Denon's AVR), it requires Nvidia's side for the GPU driver to enable the EDID flag for the AVR to passthrough Gsync over Vesa VRR. Or the market now no more c9 edi. Lol This post has been edited by madballs: Aug 9 2020, 07:05 PM excaliburcombo liked this post

Gysnc support requires you to connect the GPU directly to the TV and use eARC for audio. Yeah, I will be connecting my hypptv and HTPC (maybe I shouldn’t call it HTPC as all I’ll be using it for is emulation gaming and certain pc games which play well with Controllers lol) to the tv as per my post. Everything else will be to the x1500h. So for now arc is enough for the lossy Atmos in built in apps. Even the HTPC will only be used for games so arc is still fine. I was thinking of getting the x3700h but decided to wait for receivers to have more hdmi 2.1 ports and I’d be lying if I said I’m not secretly hoping for Nvidia to start targeting receivers for gsync support also due to VRR native support on 2.1 also nice to see you back! |
