There are CX owners on reddit who claimed that the peak brightness decreases for 04.41.45.  whistling.gif

But another gaming youtuber I follow measured the peak brightness but no diff than previous version.

Can pls advice me whether to go with g3 or c3.. I am currently plan to buy.. Price difference is about rm 3500...
*
G3 with wall mount allow ; else u need to buy stand with extra cost

But C3 i think more than enough and that extra RM3,500 can buy additional things if u really wanna spend such as console, sound system/bar

Get G3. OLED EVO to OLED MLA is a big jump in HDR brightness. You can read more about different type of OLED here. https://www.oledspace.com/en/

I am 3200+ hours in for my 2020 65" LG CX,  have yet to have any burn in. I have my pixel shift function on during screen on time, and I do not turn off my TV completely and leave in on standby mode. Just let the soft pixel refresher runs itself (normally after 4 hours of usage and when you turn off your TV) you will hear a click sound after its done.
*
How to know pixel refresher is running eh ?
Cause my LG CX & LG C1 also always standby saja biggrin.gif

Forgot my CX clock in how many hours d right now but should be >2k hours

Dang this PS5 haywire my LG CX CEC last night =.=
Thought apa jadi everything cannot work (even factory reset my TV and soundbar )

Issue : turn on xbox or apple tv will not trigger tv and soundbar to turn on
Issue #2 : even everything manual turn on, i also cannot change the volume using either one controller - apple tv remote or lg magic remote

Note that everything has CEC turn on and works well
Only PS5 is recently connected (direct to TV) but without HDMI link turn on cause i dislike it since PS4 era.

Unplug TV from wall plug and unplug all hdmi connection and leave it 30 minutes and plug everything back still same issues.

In the end test every hdmi port one by one (plug in and out) and find that it's PS5 the culprit

Question: is it if i want to use HDMI-CEC properly, i must turn on every devices' CEC that are connected to TV ?

Try take a spare or cheap hdmi cable and prick/plug the CEC pin on the hdmi connector. Google the pin position, it will show. Then try plug back ur ps5. Just need to prick one side.

Used to had this issue with my astro to my a80j and apple tv to my old sony lcd.
*
Gonna try again see, not sure is due to the HDMI Switcher - Vention 8k60 / 4k120 (1 in 2 out) issue or not.

Another thing just noticed is that i have both LG C1 48" and LG CX 65" :

1) LG C1 (May 2022 bought) - top edge there has many dead pixel , likely 9~15 dots, some is real black dots, some is rainbow feel (not sure is dust speck underneath the screen and unable to wipe off on surface)

2) LG CX (June 2021 bought) top edge panel has many dead pixel and some kind of panel aging distortion?

Wanna know that does LG Malaysia warranty dead pixel issues?
From normal viewing distance, those actually unable to see
But then, once you know, it's hard to unseen sweat.gif

LG C1 still cover under official 2 years warranty and wondering should i claim it.
LG CX still have 8 months warranty by Senheng Plus One member which they can call LG support.

Yes LG warranty covers dead pixels. They changed a new panel for my CX. Everything done within 1 week or so.

Nice to hear.
Mind share your procedure?

How many Dead Pixels and how long your CX usage until new panel changes?
Do they require any minimum dead pixel only they proceed for the changes?

Also do they come inspect first (second visit with new panel) or you sending them picture before they come to replace.

I changed during Dec 2021 (purchased Sept 2021).

If I recall correctly, if there are 2-3 dead pixels and they affect your viewing experience like in the middle of the screen then they will consider swapping it. Mine had quite a bit, especially the top part and very obvious. Like 20-30 dead pixels minimum. It was after 200+ hours of usage or perhaps those were there before due to panel defect and I didn't notice it.

For my case, I gave LG hotline a call, and someone from LG whatsapp me to send the photos. Then came back few days and told me LG approved for a new panel replacement. No one came and inspect it back then, but things might have change now. Now this new panel has zero dead pixels and burn in so far.  thumbup.gif
*
Quite an amount of dead pixel roughly 3 months o.O

Mine dead pixel actually quite separate on my LG CX at top and so far doesnt affect the viewing experience.
Guess i continue use first until next year only see how's the situation.

So right now your warranty still effective (default factory warranty should be 2 years) ?

Thanks.

Lol ... yeah, that's why i plan to left till last few months only do the warranty claim, just to "extend" the new panel lifespan.

3 years GX 65" and I noticed some weird uneven edge at top of screen. I'm guessing it's dead pixels. It's under extended warranty phase, so now in the midst of waiting for reply from the shop I bought from to submit the warranty claim. Called LG, they don't entertain as it has exceeded 2 years standard warranty.

Hmm ... maybe i should take note on my CX now also

The top edge there really feels the weakest as mine also has some uneven wave and dead pixel.
Viewing distance doesnt feel unless i go near.

I suggest you better give LG a call if it’s still under warranty.

Back to my incident, I can claim for panel repair or given the option of offsetting the claim value (around rm9000) to purchase a new tv. For the new tv option, I am considering Lg G3 65 or 77. Anyone can share what is the best deal in town now for these 2 models?
*
Yea, i still have more than half year warranty left by senheng P1 member which has value up to RM14k

Probably check with LG Q1 2024, i mean senheng.
