I only able to found the black color old style fuse in my local electrical shop. They advised that that fuse would not work with my fuse holder.

Can anyone help to recommend where i can find this fuse in Puchong or Kota Kumuning area?

Thank you very much!

I'm buying a subsale property (1 year VP), and will having the key on mid of Feb. However, i would like to do defect checking on the electrical and water leakage. The owner refuse to borrow the fuse to me, maybe he worry i'm not going to return fuse or whatever reason. So, the next option is to just buy a new fuse and plug it in so i can test.
Water leak test also giving me headache as the water pressure is too low to give any good water pressure to bathroom without power on the booster pump.

If the owner refuse to give you the fuse, you don't buy that property, simple as that.

Why you don't go with the owner together and have a check?

If the owner still holding the key, how you going to check everything?

you should think twice to buy the property if the owner do not want your to check those. must be something hidden, just tell him you will back off from the deal until testing done.

You want to kill somebody is it ?

Keep it yourself if you don't value your life.

See his fuse holder. How he going to put a wire without touching it ? The below contact is LIFE.

Dear all, just to update. I was able to use the fuse with the black old style fuse for the my fuse holder. Apparently, the fuse used are the same. Just have to remove the fuse from the black old style fuse and connect it into my fuse holder. Finally i can get some work done.

20 years ago when we were very poor, my father get a thick wire from wireman, make an U-loop on that wire and plug it to the fusebox, no need to use any tools.

I wonder why the owner did not want to give you fuse. It came with the house/apartment, not personally has to purchase one. Maybe because the bill is still under his name and he was afraid that the bill is going to jump up laugh.gif

I guess you might be right. There is another concern also, which is electrical failure could lead to fire hazard ( If the guy don't know what he is doing). So, i really can't blame the owner. I would have the same concern as well if i'm the owner. Any how, fuse is in, works has been done without breaking my back (no need to fetch water from the water outlet at the gate). I'm happy.

Let say even if i'm paid to do that, i won't. Besides, i only need to some testing. The risk is high.
Just to share how hazard it could be, circuit breaker from TNB before the fuse most likely are rated as high as 1000 Amp to 2000 Amp. Consider 5-10% of that 1000 Amp, will go through your body in around 100ms, that is a fatal encounter.

If there is other safer option, just try not to do that. Besides, a fuse only cost around RM20. Small cost for a safer option.

Well, that's the good old days, now if you simply fool around with it, you are in trouble.
